Automated Detection of Microaneurysms Using Scale-Adapted Blob Analysis and Semi-Supervised Learning

International audience; Despite several attempts, automated detection of microaneurysm (MA) from digital fundus images still remains to be an open issue. This is due to the subtle nature of MAs against the surrounding tissues. In this paper, the microaneurysm detection problem is modeled as finding interest regions or blobs from an image and an automatic local-scale selection technique is presented. Several scale-adapted region descriptors are then introduced to characterize these blob regions. Maģistra darbs ir uzrakstīts latviešu un angļu valodās, datorsalikumā uz 48 lapām. Tas satur 34 attēlus, 6 tabulas, 37 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Mērķis: izveidot spektrāli maināmu gaismas avotu, kas uzlabotu diabēta radītu tīklenes bojājumu un citu tīklenes struktūru kompjūter-diagnostiku. Metode: Spektrāli maināms gaismas avots, kas ir balstīts uz digitālās mikrospoguļu ierīces (DMD) un modificētas fundus kameras, kas komplektēti ar monohromatisku kameru tīklenes attēlu iegūšanai. Experimental results on the shear behaviour of the steel trusses in composite steel-concrete beams are presented. Preliminarily tensile tests have been performed on specimens reproducing different types of welded joints. Tests are addressed to investigate on the bearing capacity of the welds and on the local instability problems that can arise in the elements of the truss. A FEM model is also presented in order to reproduce the behaviour of the steel truss subjected to shear load.
