From june 16th to November 4th , 2018, Manifesta, the european nomadic art Biennial, held Palermo as host city of its 12th edition. Whithin this larger main framework, over the course of two semesters, four international studios from four celebrated schools of architecture have investigated, reflected and proposed future scenarios for the city of Palermo . The works have been displayed in a collective exhibition at the former mill of the Convent of San Antonino – one of UNIPA’s main locations. Dynamic simulation of a 4th Generation District Heating network with the presence of prosumers

District Heating Network is identified as a promising technology for the decarbonization of urban areas. Thanks to the surplus of heat available from distributed renewable energy plants, a typical heat consumer of the network could become an energy producer during the day (typically referred to as “prosumer”). Models for thermal grids developed during the years usually assumed a centralized heat production. The increasing presence of prosumers will require accurate dynamic modeling to monitor the changes induced in the thermohydraulic variables of the network. Finite Commutative Rings and their Applications is the first to address both theoretical and practical aspects of finite ring theory. The authors provide a practical approach to finite rings through explanatory examples, thereby avoiding an abstract presentation of the subject. The section on Quasi-Galois rings presents new and unpublished results as well. The authors then introduce some applications of finite rings, in particular Galois rings, to coding theory, using a solid algebraic and geometric theoretical background.

BACKGROUND AND AIM: The Authors report the results of their experience on polypoids lesions of the stomach and on endoscopic polypectomies. PATIENTS AND METHODS: A study on 2000 OGD (oesophagogastroduodenoscopy) has been carried out on 95 patients with polypoid lesions. The authors have analysed the associations existing between histological type and symptomatology and localisation of the lesion and the status of the Helicobacter pylori and the risk of cancerization.
