Scientific studies for the restauration of two wooden arm reliquaries from the Cathedral of Palermo

Dedicated to Saint Generosi and Saint Rosana, the reliquary arms, recalling the shape of a body part, are today located in the Relics Chapel in Palermo Cathedral. They are probably dated to the second half of the 18th century and are attributed to an unknown artist. The aims of this study were to investigate the decorative techniques, verify the state of conservation of the constitutive materials, measure the microclimate condition in the Relics Chapel, in order to set up a correct preventive conservation strategy. Artykuł omawia dzieje wulgaryzmu ciul, który z dialektu śląskiego przeszedł do odmiany potocznej polszczyzny ogólnej. Po raz pierwszy wulgaryzm zapisano w 1875 r. w śląskich dokumentach sądowych. Leksem pochodzi z gwar czeskich (por. culík ‘warkocz, spleciona kępa włosów’) lub morawskich (culík ‘sopel’). Pierwotne znaczenie uległo metaforyzacji i zaczęło oznaczać ‘narząd męski, penis’. Wyraz ciul jako wulgaryzm zaczął być używany w funkcji wyzwiska, co dokumentują zapisy archiwalne. W różnych typach kontaktów owo obraźliwe określenie mężczyzny łatwo zmieniało semantykę i ekspresyjne zabarwienie, od ‘oszusta, szumowiny’ po ‘niedorajdę, głupka’. Excess electronic recoil events in XENON1T

We report results from searches for new physics with low-energy electronic recoil data recorded with the XENON1T detector. With an exposure of 0.65 t-y and an unprecedentedly low background rate of $76\pm2$ events/(t y keV) between 1 and 30 keV, the data enables sensitive searches for solar axions, an enhanced neutrino magnetic moment, and bosonic dark matter. An excess over known backgrounds is observed at low energies and most prominent between 2 and 3 keV. The solar axion model has a 3.4$\sigma$ significance, and a 3D 90% confidence surface is reported for axion couplings to electrons, photons, and nucleons. Analiza jest prowadzona w kontekstach strukturalnym i funkcjonalnym z kompleksową oceną zbieżności i jest oparta na semantycznym modelowaniu.

Mērķis – noskaidrot, kāds ir Latvijas prezidentūras tēls sabiedrības acīs, kā arī izprast Latvijas prezidentūras Eiropas Savienības Padomē (LPESP) Twitter konta komunikācijas specifiku. Darbs sastāv no teorētiskās, metodoloģiskās, pētnieciskās un analītiskās daļas.
