Abstract Pesticides, nutrients, and ecological stressors such as competition or predation co‐occur in freshwater ecosystems impacted by agriculture. The extent to which combinations of these stressors affect aquatic populations and the role of nutrients availability in modulating these responses requires further understanding. In this study, we assessed how pesticides affecting different taxonomic groups and predation influence the response of Daphnia pulex populations under different trophic conditions. Implementation of an occupational stress Control Model

Occupational stress is an enemy of society, a problem that requires a deep research to control stress more effectively. The case study presented in this article consists of a model control regarding occupational stress. The experimental part of this study involved interviews with 15 employees, 9 females and 6 males aged between 25-55 years. Participants described stressful situations at work. Time allocated for each subject was 45 minutes per interviews. Abstract In the paper, a numerical and experimental study was carried out to highlight the effect of the distance d between the weld seam and the reinforcement on the residual stress distribution in Friction Stir Welded AA6082-T6 structures. An L-shaped profile was welded to a sheet metal with varying tool rotation and distance d from the weld seam. The Cut Compliance method was used to determine the resulting longitudinal residual stress. Assessment of material models through simple machining tests

The accuracy of the results obtained from FEM simulation of machining operations depends on the accuracy of input data. Among these, the flow stress data of the workpiece are extremely important together with the friction along the tool-chip interface. In this study, an identification procedure for the determination of material parameters that are used for the FEM simulation of machining processes is proposed. Improving surface integrity of additively manufactured GP1 stainless steel by roller burnishing

Abstract Additive manufacturing can rapidly fabricate the desired components by selectively melting and solidifying feedstock, rather than conventional subtractive machining. However, the difference between the two routes in terms of surface integrity of the final component is relevant. This paper presents a strategy to control the surface characteristics of additively manufactured stainless steel by roller burnishing. International audience; The influence of quadratic stress, crystallographic texture, lubrication and surface roughness generated by superfinish turning on the corrosion behaviour of pure copper was quantified in salt-fog atmosphere. This was done using statistical analysis (Pearson's correlation matrix). Three compounds were found after corrosion tests: atacamite/paratacamite and a black layer (mixture of the lubricant and the salt atmosphere).
