The Relationship between Minority Stress and Depressive Symptoms in the LGBTQA Population from Poland

The cross-sectional study examines minority stress and depression symptoms regarding various sexual and gender minority (SGM) identities in lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and asexual (LGBTQA) individuals from Poland. The online survey was conducted among 509 people. Participants aged between 18 and 47 (M = 22.39, SD = 4.78). Gender identity included 262 cisgender women, 74 cisgender men, 31 transgender women, 53 transgender men, and 89 nonbinary individuals. Sexual identity comprises 197 bisexual, 150 homosexual, 78 pansexual, 33 asexual, 21 undefined, 14 heterosexual, 9 demisexuals, 6 queer, and 1 sapiosexual individual. This study aimed to investigate the status and risk factors of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in patients with acute myocardial infarction (AMI) after emergency percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) in acute and convalescence phases. A longitudinal study design was used. Two questionnaire surveys were conducted in the acute stage of hospitalization, and 3 months after onset in patients. Logistic regression was used to analyze the risk factors for PTSD in AMI patients. The incidence of PTSD was 33.1 and 20.4% in acute and convalescent patients, respectively. Photoelasticity is particularly suitable for the analysis of the stress state in structural materials that are transparent and birefringent. Some techniques of digital photoelasticity (phase shifting and RGB) are applied to the analysis of stress field in two classes of structural materials. The first one consists of tempered glasses, such as those used in the automotive and architectural fields. The second one consists of thermoset polymers, typically used as matrices in fiber reinforced plastic structural composites. Response of transgenic mannitol-producing tobacco plants to water deficit

Transgenic mannitol-producing (+mtlD) and wild type (-mtlD) tobacco plants were exposed to water deficit to test whether mannitol is involved in drought stress protection. Rooted cuttings of -mtlD and +mtlD plants were fully irrigated (100% ET) or received 25% ET for 40 days, followed by 20 days of re-watering. Water deficit reduced RWC of both plant types starting on the 22nd day, total stem length of -mtlD 25% ET already after 11 days, whereas that of +mtlD 25% ET only after 34 days. After 30 days of deficit, a greater percentage of mature foliage was retained by +mtlD 25% ET compared to -mtlD 25% ET. Pētījuma mērķis bija teorētiski un praktiski izpētīt pandēmijas stresa, tā pārvarēšanas stratēģiju un dzīvesspēka savstarpējās saistības vecāka gadagājuma pieaugušo izlasē. Pētījumā piedalījās 194 vecāka gadagājuma pieaugušie vecumā no 65-86 gadiem (M=71,28, SD=5,27) . No tiem 68 vīrieši un 126 sievietes. No visiem respondentiem 89 ir augstākā izglītība, 105 respondentiem ir vidējā vai vidējā profesionālā izglītība (neviens ar pamata izglītību). No tiem nodarbināti 75 respondenti. Mājsaimniecībā dzīvo vieni (vientuļi) 96 respondenti.
