Nei Paesi membri dell’OECD, i maestri di scuola primaria rappresentano una minoranza del corpo docente, per la bassa remunerazione, lo scarso prestigio sociale e lo stereotipo di una professione ritenuta femminile. Nella prima parte di questo contributo, si ricostruiscono le ragioni con cui si spiega la mancanza degli insegnanti maschi nella scuola primaria e si presentano i rimedi che alcuni Paesi hanno tentato di applicare per ridurre la dimensione di questo problema. For the history of development of the Polish movement in Upper Silesia, the aid which inhabitants of Greater Poland (Wielkopolska) extended to Upper Silesians, beginning with the mid-19th century until the Interwar period, was of great import_ance. La capacidad para innovar en un establecimiento escolar depende de los recursos disponibles y utilizados para contribuir a generar nuevas prácticas en su funcionamiento. En el presente trabajo se analizan dichos recursos en los centros de Bachillerato de la Comunidad Valenciana, así como la influencia que pueden ejercer su tamaño y su antigüedad sobre la innovación. La información se ha obtenido a partir de un cuestionario enviado a las instituciones de educación en una escala tipo Likert. Background There are no national arrangements for free school meals provision in Norway despite this being an important opportunity to improve children's and adolescents' nutritional status and ultimately their physical and cognitive development. According to Serbessa (2006) there is a tension between Western pedagogy, in particular child-centred learning, and traditional Ethiopian approaches to teaching. In this study, this tension is examined through the teaching methods used and the resources teachers have at their disposal. The teachers are herein viewed as curriculum leaders, contrasting with the preconception that managers are leaders of a curriculum (Hannay & Seller, 1991).
