The article is devoted to actualize early risk factors of dyslexia in pre-school children.

There are a lot of research about dyslexia and its impact on the child/pupil's development, learning and other areas of life. Part of the research concerns the development of a child in pre-school age determining, what factors influence acquisition of reading skills and predict potential difficulties. The article is devoted to reveal early risk factors of specific reading disorder (dyslexia), touches diagnostic possibilities and states what is the role of early intervention in the development of a child. Risk factor groups are described previou…
Do Age and Sex Play a Role in the Intraocular Pressure Changes after Acrobatic Gymnastics?
2021
To evaluate the effects of an acrobatic gymnastics (AG) training session on intraocular pressure (IOP), a familiarization session was employed to confirm the participant’s suitability for the study. Forty-nine gymnasts (63.27% females, 18–40 years old) voluntarily agreed to participate. As age, sex, baseline IOP, and central corneal thickness (CCT) were considered as potential predictors of the IOP variations, in the second session measurements of the above parameters were taken before and after 90 min of AG. A mixed-factorial analysis of variance evaluated differences. Linear regression was conducted to potentially predict the IOP variation with the exercise. After the scheduled exercise, …
Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi nell’attuale panorama della scuola multiculturale.
2017
Il contributo presenta una riflessione sulla scuola attraverso il contributo pedagogico dello zurighese Johann Heinrich Pestalozzi. Walking a tightrope - as a next-of-kin to an adolescent or young adult with cancer facing eating difficulties
2022
Purpose: Eating difficulties cause reduced food intake and poor quality of life among adolescents and young adults (AYAs) with cancer. Therefore, next-of-kin eating support is crucial. The purpose of this study was to explore the lived experiences of being close to AYAs with cancer in the context of eating when they are at home between high-emetogenic chemotherapy (HEC) sessions. Method: In-depth interviews were conducted with 12 next-of-kin to AYAs (15–29 years old) with oncological or haematological diseases, treated with HEC. Van Manen’s hermeneutic-phenomenological approach guided the design. Results: The essential meaning of the next-of-kin experiences is reflected in the overarching t…
Stratēģijas dzīves prasmju attīstīšanai 6. klases angļu valodas stundās
2022
Labor market participation, employability and and basic skills: the French case
2013
En ligne sur http://cemapre.iseg.utl.pt/educonf/2e3/files/submissions_to_web/Branche-Seigeot%20Aline.doc; The development of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and the important technological but also organizational innovations during the last decades have transformed the labor market and the jobs nature. One major consequence of this on employment has been the gradual rise in qualifications' structure sought and demanded by employers. However, the expansion of higher education contributed to depreciate diplomas proportionately more widespread in the labor market due to a greater skills' heterogeneity of their owners. Since high basic skills levels protect against unemployment…
The paradoxical management of service skills
2015
This paper focuses on service skills which are mobilized by front office agents when they are involved with customers. These skills are most of the time tacit. 2018
Maģistra darba “Klases audzinātāja darbība 7. – 9. klašu skolēnu karjeras vadības prasmju pilnveidei” mērķis ir izpētīt un izvērtēt klases audzinātāja darbību skolēnu karjeras vadības prasmju pilnveidei 7. – 9. klašu posmā. Darba pētījuma jautājumi - klases audzinātāja darbības iespējas skolēnu karjeras vadības prasmju pilnveidei un kādi apstākļi un faktori nepieciešami, lai raksturotās iespējas realizētu vispārizglītojošā izglītības iestādē. Darba teorētisko daļu veido literatūras avotu analīze par karjeras jēdziena būtību, karjeras vadības prasmēm un klases audzinātāja darbības iespējas. Praktiski pētnieciskajā daļā tika pētīti un datu ieguvei anketēti Rīgas X vispārējās vidējās izglītība…
Deep learning for knowledge tracing in learning analytics: An overview
2021
Learning Analytics (LA) is a recent research branch that refers to methods for measuring, collecting, analyzing, and reporting learners’ data, in order to better understand and optimize the processes and the environments. Knowledge Tracing (KT) deals with the modeling of the evolution, during the time, of the students’ learning process. Particularly its aim is to predict students’ outcomes in order to avoid failures and to support both students and teachers. Recently, KT has been tackled by exploiting Deep Learning (DL) models and generating a new, ongoing, research line that is known as Deep Knowledge Tracing (DKT). This was made possible by the digitalization process that has simplified t…
