Effects of different intra canal medicaments on the push out bond strength of endodontic sealers

BACKGROUND One of the essential properties of the root canal sealers is the adhesion to root canal dentin and their higher bond strength decreases the microleakage. The aim of the present study was to compare the effect of Different Intracanal medicaments on the push out bond strength of AH26 and MTA Fillapex sealers. MATERIAL AND METHODS A total of 104 one-rooted extracted human teeth were divided into 4 (n=26) experimental groups. Optically detected magnetic resonance of triplet states populated by photoexcitation in water-soluble chlorophyll proteins (WSCPs) from Lepidium virginicum has been performed using both absorption and fluorescence detection. Well resolved triplet-singlet (T-S) spectra have been obtained and interpreted in terms of electronic interactions among the four chlorophylls (Chls), forming two dimers in the WSCP tetramer. Localization of the triplet state on a single Chl leads to a redistribution of the oscillator strength in the remaining three Chls of the complex. Interaction of polyelectrolytes with oppositely charged micelles studied by fluorescence and liquid chromatography

It is studied by spectrofluorimetry the association of ionized cationic micelles (cetyltrimethylammonium bromide, CTAB) with oppositely charged polyelectrolyte [sodium poly(styrenesulfonate), PSSNa]. CTAB provokes a change in the fluorescence intensity emitted by PSSNa. The investigated surfactants form micelle-like aggregates before critical micellar concentration (CMC). Two approaches (binding and partition equilibrium) are used to obtain the association constant, KA, number of CTAB molecules in a binding site, N, and apparent partition coefficient, Γ. Abstract This work aimed to study the effect of starch (acetylated di-starch phosphate and starch acetate) and maltodextrin (DE 10.2 and DE 15.6) on the properties of soy protein isolate (SPI) films. Abstract An independent analysis of different operational variables in aqueous size exclusion chromatography of poly electrolytes has been carried out using a silica-based support. The effect of polyion concentration, pH and ionic strength on sodium polystyrenesulfonate calibration plots has been investigated. Finally, a novel semi-empirical model has been developed from thermodynamic considerations which relates the support effective pore volume to the polyelectrolyte molecular weight and qualitatively describes secondary effects.

The retention behaviour and selectivity of selected basic, neutral and acidic peptides have been studied by capillary electroendoosmotic chromatography (CEC) with Hypersil C8, C18, Hypersil mixed-mode, and Spherisorb C18/SCX columns, 250 (335) mm x 100 microns, packed with 3 microns particles, and eluted with mobile phases composed of acetonitrile-triethylamine-phosphoric acid (TEAP) at pH 3.0 using a Hewlett-Packard Model HP3DCE capillary electrophoresis system. Comparative study of Zorbax Bio Series GF 250 and GF 450 and TSK-Gel 3000 SW and SWXL columns in size-exclusion chromatography of proteins.

Abstract A reduction of the mean particle diameter of silica-based packings in the size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) of proteins to about 5 μm generates the expected increase in column plate number over the traditional 10 μm SEC columns, as demonstrated for the Zorbax Bio Series GF 250 and GF 450 and TSK-Gel 3000 SWXL columns. The slightly lower column efficiency of the TSK-Gel 3000 SWXL compared with the GF 250 column is compensated by the fact that the phase ratio of the 3000 SWXL column is higher by a factor of two. In micellar liquid chromatography (MLC), the resolution for a given multi-component mixture can be optimized by changing several variables, such as the concentrations of surfactant and organic modifier, the pH and temperature. Supported liquid membrane extraction of aromatic aminophosphonates

Abstract A fast and efficient supported liquid membrane (SLM) extraction system for the series of substituted aromatic aminophosphonates was elaborated. The mass transfer of solute was examined in terms of operator (pH and ionic strength of water phase, composition of membrane phase and the concentration of analyte) dependent parameters. Additionally, the influence of the aminophosphonates structure on the extraction efficiency was examined.
