The concept of this article is that the symbolic relationships between human beings and animals serve as a model for the relationships between the majority and the ethnic minority. We postulate that there are two representations that serve to organize these relationships between human beings and animals: a domestic and a wild one. If the domestic animal is an index of human culture, the wild animal is an index of nature which man considers himself to share with the animal. With the wild representation, contact with the animal will be taboo, as it constitutes a threat to the anthropological difference. The recent discovery of mirror neurons has rivived the gestural-imitative theory of the origin of language advocated by Condillac in the XVIIIth century. Condillac develops this theory in two stages: in the Essai (1746) he proposes a gestural theory based on the arbitrariness of the sign, while in the Grammaire (1775) he refuses arbitrariness and accepts the theory of analogy and natural imitation proposed by Charles de Brosses (1765). This choice depends on the fact that in Rousseau (1755) and Beauzee (1765) arbitrariness, as a "paradox of the original contract", now plays the role of key argument in favor of the divine origin of language. Generalized hypergeometric functions and the evaluation of scalar one-loop integrals in Feynman diagrams

Present and future high-precision tests of the Standard Model and beyond for the fundamental constituents and interactions in Nature are demanding complex perturbative calculations involving multi-leg and multi-loop Feynman diagrams. Currently, large effort is devoted to the search for closed expressions of loop integrals, written whenever possible in terms of known - often hypergeometric-type - functions. In this work, the scalar three-point function is re-evaluated by means of generalized hypergeometric functions of two variables. Finally, use is made of the connection between such Appell functions and dilogarithms coming from a previous investigation, to recover well-known results.

En este trabajo vamos a relacionar la película de Benito Zambrano Solas (1999) con el género o familia de films del melodrama de la mujer desconocida que propone Cavell (2009). Para ello, después de introducir el “método” asociativo cavelliano, vamos a presentar los rasgos más característicos de dicho género y la imagen de la mujer que en ellos se dibuja: el autoconocimiento de la protagonista, su relación con el mundo masculino, su emancipación del mismo a través de la conquista de la voz.
