Tämä pro gradu -tutkielma tarkastelee masentuneiden ja terveiden koehenkilöiden tunnetiedon käsittelyn eroja. Tarkoituksena on selvittää, onko masentuneiden ja terveiden koehenkilöiden välillä eroa kasvonilmeiden välittämän tunnetiedon käsittelyssä aivoissa, ja vaikuttaako kognitiivis-behavioraalinen CBASP-psykoterapia aivovasteisiin. Tutkimuksen 42 koehenkilöstä 32 oli masentuneita ja 10 terveitä. Masentuneet koehenkilöt jaettiin sattumanvaraisesti terapiaryhmään ja tavanomaisen hoidon ryhmään. Spontaneous rectus sheath hematoma (SRSH) is an uncommon cause of acute abdominal pain characterized by bleeding within the rectus sheath; it is a benign condition and, in most cases, it is treated conservatively. Bleeding of the abdominal wall is an unusual condition that is quite challenging to identify promptly and can be easily overlooked during a routine physical examination. In daily practice, anticoagulant therapy is one of the main risk factors for hemorrhagic events. In this respect, we report a rare case of spontaneous hematoma of the abdominal wall (diagnosed and monitored through an ultrasound examination) that arose after sneezing in a patient receiving anticoagulant treatment.

Introduction and objectives: Urinary sodium (UNa+) has emerged as a useful biomarker of poor clinical outcomes in acute heart failure (AHF). Here, we sought to evaluate: a) the usefulness of a single early determination of UNa+ for predicting adverse outcomes in patients with AHF and renal dysfunction, and b) whether the change in UNa+ at 24 hours (Delta UNa24 h) adds any additional prognostic information over baseline values.
