Sulla base di concetti quali empatia, compassione e immedesimazione, il lavoro mette a confronto le teorie estetiche di Brecht, Lessing e Stanislavskij. Ricostruendo le tappe del fecondo rapporto di scambio dialettico che lega il drammaturgo tedesco del '900 all'attore e regista russo e al drammaturgo teorico della drammaturgia della compassione del 700, si analizza un caso di tormentata ricezione. Based on concepts such as empathy, compassion and identification, the work compares the aesthetic theories of Brecht, Lessing and Stanislavsky.

Sulla scorta di un’analisi della ricezione del romanzo, il presente saggio intende offrire un contributo alla ricerca nell’ambito dell’odierna mediatizzazione della narrazione, riflettendo sulla trasformazione dei generi letterari e sull’annunciata rinascita, in chiave tecnologica, del vecchio romanzo epistolare.

The focus of the article is on Wieland’s need for confrontation and an exchange of opinions, his concept of cosmopolitanism, his conception of Europe and the Mediterranean, his rejection of any claim to the inviolability of one’s own convictions which were to be defended at all costs and against everyone and everything.
