ABSTRACT Iron occurs naturally as Fe 2+ , Fe 3+ , and, to a lesser extent, as Fe 0 . Many fundamental (bio)geochemical processes are based on redox cycling between these oxidation states. Mossbauer spectroscopy provides quantitative information about the distribution of Fe among its oxidation states, identification of Fe-bearing phases, and relative distribution of Fe among those phases. Portable, miniaturised Mossbauer spectrometers were developed for NASA9s Mars Exploration Rovers (in operation since 2004) and provide a means for non-destructive, in-situ field investigations. This article analyzes the determinants of bank branch location in Spain taking the role of geography explicitly into account. After a long period of intense territorial expansion, especially by savings banks, many of these firms are now involved in merger processes triggered off by the financial crisis, most of which entail the closing of many branches. However, given the contributions of this type of banks to limit financial exclusion, this process might exacerbate the consequences of the crisis for some disadvantaged social groups. Latent class models are now widely applied in health economics to analyse heterogeneity in multiple outcomes generated by subgroups of individuals who vary in unobservable characteristics, such as genetic information or latent traits. The laparoscopic approach to Acute Mesenteric Ischemia is today unclear and less debated (AMI). There are in fact no clinical evidences on this particular focus and only few articles can be found in several databases (pubmed, cochrane library, etc.), and the problem concerns both diagnostic and therapeutic utilization of the procedure. These considerations were already taken into account in 2012 EAES guidelines where the Grade of Recommendation (GoR) of laparoscopy in AMI was low in both diagnostic and therapeutic aspects. According to the new Oxford Classification [1], the use of laparoscopy in patients with suspicious or diagnosed AMI presents a weak GoR.

Uncontrolled growth, one of the fundamental properties of malignant tumors, requires a great supply of energy. This energy can be derived from the use of a variety of substrates. Besides glucose oxidation and glucose breakdown to lactic acid, the turnover of endogeneous substrates such as amino acids, free fatty acids and ketone bodies is well documented in vitro. However, under in vivo conditions, only glucose utilization has been investigated in detail, using tumor isotransplants in rodents. For human tumors, only scarce data is available, derived mainly from clinical observations rather than from systematic studies.

To overcome this problem, Tangsi Jaya hamlet, West Java, has been provided with 18 kW micro-hydro to supply electricity both to the community and to Small Processing Center for ground coffee production. Results of cash flow analysis for ground coffee in Tangsi Jaya hamlet, with total investment of IDR 110 750 000 and discount rate of 18 % for 5 yr.
