Išēmiska prekondicionēšana (IPC) ir terapeitiska stratēģija, lai samazinātu išēmijas radītus bojājumus. Išēmiskie bojājumi ir šūnu bojājumi, ko izraisa nepietiekama skābekļa piegāde. Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot vienas rokas intermitētas išēmijas ietekmi uz sirds ritma variabilitāti un otras rokas mikrocirkulāciju ādā. Tika izvirzīta hipotēze, ka vienas rokas intermitēta išēmija izraisa otras rokas ādas mikrocirkulācijas lokālo regulatoro mehānismu aktivitātes izmaiņas. The effects of antimicrobial sprays and mouthrinses on supragingival plaque regrowth: a comparative study.

BACKGROUND: Due to the side effects of chlorhexidine digluconate (CHX) mouthrinsing, a spray has been proposed as an alternative method of CHX delivery to the oral cavity. The aim of this study was to investigate the plaque inhibitory effects of CHX, cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC), and triclosan (TRN) delivered by sprays and mouthrinses. METHODS: The study was an observer-masked, randomized cross-over design balanced for carryover effects, involving 15 healthy volunteers in a 4-day plaque regrowth model. Context. Pre-main sequence stars are variable sources. In diskless stars this variability is mainly due to the rotational modulation of dark photospheric spots and active regions, as in main sequence stars even if associated with a stronger magnetic activity.Aims. We study the clustering of galaxies as function of luminosity and redshift in the range $0.35 < z < 1.25$ using data from the Advanced Large Homogeneous Area Medium Band Redshift Astronomical (ALHAMBRA) survey. The ALHAMBRA data used in this work cover $2.38 \mathrm{deg}^2$ in 7 independent fields, after applying a detailed angular selection mask, with accurate photometric redshifts, $��_z \lesssim 0.014 (1+z)$, down to $I_{\rm AB} < 24$. Given the depth of the survey, we select samples in $B$-band luminosity down to $L^{\rm th} \simeq 0.16 L^{*}$ at $z = 0.9$. This study aims at evaluating the differences in size structure of population of H. tuberculata in the Gulf of Sferracavallo (northern Sicily) which experienced the co-occurrence of high exploitation and decrease of eutrophic conditions during the eighties and early nineties. Comparison of size structure showed significant differences between length frequency distributions of 1970-75s and 2002-2005, being the latter formed by smaller size green ormer.
Zróżnicowanie uzębienia u nornika zwyczajnego Microtus arvalis Pallas, 1778 z okolic Częstochowy (Wyżyna Śląska)

An analysis of the diversity in the dentition of the common vole, Microtus arvalis, from three localities near Częstochowa (Panki, Przystajń and Mstów) is provided. Populations from these areas were compared to each other in these terms. The teeth were analyzed – the first lower molar (M1) and the upper third molar of the maxilla (M3). Four basic forms of Simplex, Typica, Duplicata and Variabilis were used to study the diversity of the upper tooth. We developed our own model for studying the differentiation of the lower tooth. The present research and a comparison with literature data confirm that the subspecies M. a. duplicatus does occur in the study area.

Ārējie nelabvēlīgie stresa faktori un citi stresori pastāvīgi izaicina mūsu ķermeņa dinamisko homeostāzi (Chrousos , 2009). Un kā mūsu organisma bioloģiska , psiholoģiska atbildes reakcija ir stress. Stresa reakcijas rodas, ja situācija tiek uztverta kā izaicinoša vai draudoša (piemēram, pārmērīgs darba apjoms, savas dzīves salīdzināšana ar citiem sociālajos tīklos vai ātruma pārsniegšana vadot automašīnu).
