Šī maģistra darbs ir veltīts pētījumam par Iana Makjuana (Ian McEwan) romāna "Piedošana" (‘Atonement’) semiotiskājiem elementiem, kurus režisors Džo Raits (Joe Wright) vēlāk pārnesa uz ekrāna. Darbs koncentrējas uz teksta oriģināla un tā adaptācijas kinofilmā salīdzinājumu, pētot gan teksta, gan vizuālo attēlojumu no semiotiskās perspektīvas. Pētījuma mērķis ir izpētīt teksta kinematogrāfiskos atveidojumus, novērtēt tekstuālo un vizuālo zīmju atšķirības un līdzības, kā arī veikt identificēto semiotisko elementu salīdzinošo analīzi un to turpmāko interpretāciju. While in standard wake states it is nearly impossible to tickle oneself, there are interesting exceptions. The formation of new blood vessels and the establishment of vascular networks are crucial during brain development, in the adult healthy brain, as well as in various diseases of the central nervous system. Here, we describe a step-by-step protocol for our recently developed method that enables hierarchical imaging and computational analysis of vascular networks in postnatal and adult mouse brains. Coevolution may lead to local adaptation of parasites to their sympatric hosts. Locally adapted parasites are, on average, more infectious to sympatric hosts than to allopatric hosts of the same species or their fitness on the sympatric hosts is superior to that on allopatric hosts. We tested local adaptation of a hemiparasitic plant, Rhinanthus serotinus (Scrophulariaceae), to its host plant, the grass Agrostis capillaris. The aim of this pilot-study was to assess reliability and validity of the Latvian version of the computerized executive functions test EXAMINER (Executive Abilities: Measures and Instruments for Neurobehavioral Evaluation and Research) in a sample of high school students and university students. The adaptation procedure included translation of the instructions and technical configuration of the test’s computerized version. International audience; Photon emission microscopy and Time Resolved Imaging have proved their efficiency for defect localization on VLSI. A common process to find defect candidate locations is to draw a comparison between acquisitions on a normally working device and a faulty one. In order to be accurate and meaningful, this method requires that the acquisition scene remains the same between the two parts. In practice, it can be difficult to set. In this paper, a method to correct position by affine matrix transformation is suggested. It is based on image features detection, description and matching and affine transformation estimation.
