Abstract Background Specific histone modifications play important roles in chromatin functions; i.e., activation or repression of gene transcription. This participation must occur as a dynamic process. Nevertheless, most of the histone modification maps reported to date provide only static pictures that link certain modifications with active or silenced states. Advanced Monitoring of Rotor Broken Bar in Double Squirrel Cage Induction Machines Based on Wavelet Analysis

The diagnosis of induction machine faults is commonly realized through Motor Current Signature Analysis (MCSA), i.e. by classical spectrum analysis of the input currents. In case of large or double cage induction motors, rotor broken bars fault detection based on sideband current components may fail due to the presence of inter bar currents that reduce the degree of rotor asymmetry, leading to reduced relevance of these spectral components. Molecular layer deposition (MLD) is an increasingly used deposition technique for producing thin coatings consisting of purely organic or hybrid inorganic-organic materials. When organic materials are prepared, low deposition temperatures are often required to avoid decomposition, thus causing problems with low vapor pressure precursors. Purified Membrane-Containing Procapsids of Bacteriophage PRD1 Package the Viral Genome

Icosahedral-tailed double-stranded DNA (dsDNA) bacteriophages and herpesviruses translocate viral DNA into a preformed procapsid in an ATP-driven reaction by a packaging complex that operates at a portal vertex. A similar packaging system operates in the tailless dsDNA phage PRD1 (Tectiviridae family), except that there is an internal membrane vesicle in the procapsid. The unit-length linear dsDNA genome with covalently linked 5'-terminal proteins enters the procapsid through a unique vertex. Metagenomic libraries consist of DNA fragments from diverse species, with varying genome size and abundance. High-throughput sequencing platforms produce large volumes of reads from these libraries, which may be assembled into contigs, ideally resembling the original larger genomic sequences.
