Intestinal lipoprotein production is a multistep process, essential for the absorption of dietary fats and fat-soluble vitamins. Chylomicron assembly begins in the endoplasmic reticulum with the formation of primordial, phospholipids-rich particles that are then transported to the Golgi for secretion. Several classes of transporters play a role in the selective uptake and/or export of lipids through the villus enterocytes. AbstractBacteriophage PRD1, which has been studied intensively at the structural and functional levels, still has some gene products with unknown functions and certain aspects of the PRD1 assembly process have remained unsolved. In this study, we demonstrate that the phage-encoded non-structural proteins P17 and P33, either individually or together, complement the defect in a temperature-sensitive GroES mutant of Escherichia coli for host growth and PRD1 propagation. In vivo assembly of chromatin on pBR322 sequences cloned into yeast plasmids

Abstract In order to study the in vivo assembly of chromatin on prokaryotic DNA templates, we have transformed yeast cells with plasmids pAJ50 and pRB58, which contain pBR322 sequences. In both cases nucleosomes are assembled in vivo on pBR322 DNA, although the nucleosomes are not homogeneous in size. To explore whether there is any preference for nucleosome assembly along pBR322 sequences, we have used an indirect end labeling method. The results indicate that most nucleosomes are placed at random on pBR322, although the probability for histone octamers to interact with some short regions is somewhat reduced. Permanent porosity has been ascertained by analyzing the material at the single-crystal level during a sorption cycle. Indanedione based binary chromophore supramolecular systems as a NLO active polymer composites

Novel route to obtain EO material is proposed by supramolecular assembly of neutral-ground-state (NGS) and zwitterionic (ZWI) NLO chromophores in binary chromophore organic glass (BCOG) host–guest system. On a basis of our Langeven Dynamics (LD) molecular modeling combined with quantum chemical calculations, we have shown that anticipated enhancement NLO efficiency of BCOG material is possible via electrostatic supramolecular assembly of NGS with ZWI chromophore in antiparallel manner.
