We derive through literature review that lack of internal R&D investment, lack of contribution into absorptive capacity (ACAP) nurturing at the initial phase of a project, and lack of adequate training prevent ACAP improvement. We conduct 41 interviews using a case study method on four organizations. Based on the empirical findings, it is revealed that most of practitioners know how ACAP can be improved. But still, they do not offer the important incentives and follow some traditional ways of performing their tasks. Selective breeding for endurance running capacity affects cognitive but not motor learning in rats

The ability to utilize oxygen has been shown to affect a wide variety of physiological factors often considered beneficial for survival. As the ability to learn can be seen as one of the core factors of survival in mammals, we studied whether selective breeding for endurance running, an indication of aerobic capacity, also has an effect on learning. Long-transient conoscopic pattern technique

0038-1098; Recent results on laser induced anisotropy in terbium gallium garnet are extended to the dynamic regime. We observed that the characteristic conoscopic pattern formation time presents a quadratic dependence on the beam size. The observed pattern intensity is accounted for by a simple analytical formula. Benson group additivity values of phosphines and phosphine oxides: Fast and accurate computational thermochemistry of organophosphorus species

Composite quantum chemical methods W1X-1 and CBS-QB3 are used to calculate the gas phase standard enthalpy of formation, entropy, and heat capacity of 38 phosphines and phosphine oxides for which reliable experimental thermochemical information is limited or simply nonexistent. For alkyl phosphines and phosphine oxides, the W1X-1, and CBS-QB3 results are mutually consistent and in excellent agreement with available G3X values and empirical data. In the case of aryl-substituted species, different computational methods show more variation, with G3X enthalpies being furthest from experimental values. Evaluation of plasma antioxidant status after red wine intake

Several studies report that the plasma antioxidant capacity (PAC) increases after a single ingestion of red wine. However, data on the different behaviour of PAC after food intake in subjects of the same sex are still lacking. On the basis of these observations some investigations were undertaken in order to evaluate the effects of red wine intake on PAC in a homogeneous groups of healthy female volunteers (n=18). Additionally, the possible correlation between increase of PAC values and increase in uric acid levels was also assessed.
