[Spanish medical center collaboration on smoking research from 1999 through 2003 according to the Science Citation Index].

2007

OBJECTIVE To analyze the network structure of collaboration between medical centers sharing authorship of scientific articles on smoking. MATERIAL AND METHODS Articles reporting smoking research by authors from 2 or more Spanish medical centers between 1999 and the end of 2003 were identified through the Science Citation Index. The network of collaboration behind the research was analyzed and the most important measures of centrality were compared. To display the data, scientometric maps were constructed using UCINET and NETDRAW network analysis tools. RESULTS Thirty-five Spanish medical centers (29 hospitals and 6 health care clinics) in 8 autonomous communities were involved in 21 collabo…

Neutral Organometallic Halogen Bond Acceptors: Halogen Bonding in Complexes of PCPPdX (X = Cl, Br, I) with Iodine (I(2)), 1,4-Diiodotetrafluorobenzen…

2012

The behavior of a sterically crowded neutral pincer {2,6-bis[(di-t-butylphosphino)methyl]-phenyl}palladium (PCPPd) halides, PCPPdX (X = Cl, Br or I), as XB acceptors with strong halogen bond (XB) donors, iodine (I2), 1,4-diiodotetrafluorobenzene (F4DIBz), and 1,4-diiodooctafluorobutane (F8DIBu) were studied in the solid state. The co-crystallization experiments afforded high-quality single crystals of XB complexes PCPPdCl–I2 (1a), PCPPdBr–I2 (2a), PCPPdI–I2(3a), PCPPdCl–F4DIBz (1b), PCPPdBr–F4DIBz (2b), and PCPPdBr–F8DIBu (2c). The 1:1 iodine complexes (1a, 2a, and 3a) all showed a strong halogen bonding interaction, the reduction of the sum of the van der Waals radii of halogen to iodine b…

Towards the theory of M-approximate systems: Fundamentals and examples

2010

The concept of an M-approximate system is introduced. Basic properties of the category of M-approximate systems and in a natural way defined morphisms between them are studied. It is shown that categories related to fuzzy topology as well as categories related to rough sets can be described as special subcategories of the category of M-approximate systems.

Niger fluvius: aguas oscuras y dioses infernales. El caso de Endovélico

2017

Peiffer product and peiffer commutator for internal pre-crossed modules

2017

In this work we introduce the notions of Peiffer product and Peiffer commutator of internal pre-crossed modules over a fixed object B, extending the corresponding classical notions to any semi-abelian category C. We prove that, under mild additional assumptions on C, crossed modules are characterized as those pre-crossed modules X whose Peiffer commutator 〈X, X〉 is trivial. Furthermore we provide suitable conditions on C (fulfilled by a large class of algebraic varieties, including among others groups, associative algebras, Lie and Leibniz algebras) under which the Peiffer product realizes the coproduct in the category of crossed modules over B.

Simulations of the substitutional sites of Cr3+in LiNbO3from molecular orbital models

1992

Abstract The location of Cr3+ center in LiNbO3 crystals, is analysed from two types of molecular orbital (MO) calculations using MS-LSD and DFT-LCGTO methods. The optimization of the geometries according to the total energies of Cr3+ center at the two sites are presented.

A Hybrid Strategic Oscillation with Path Relinking Algorithm for the Multiobjective k-Balanced Center Location Problem

2021

This paper presents a hybridization of Strategic Oscillation with Path Relinking to provide a set of high-quality nondominated solutions for the Multiobjective k-Balanced Center Location problem. The considered location problem seeks to locate k out of m facilities in order to serve n demand points, minimizing the maximum distance between any demand point and its closest facility while balancing the workload among the facilities. An extensive computational experimentation is carried out to compare the performance of our proposal, including the best method found in the state-of-the-art as well as traditional multiobjective evolutionary algorithms.
