AbstractPrevious studies have yielded mixed results regarding the development of generativity during adulthood. Longitudinal data were utilized to investigate the average development of generativity between the ages of 42 and 61 as well as individual differences in terms of its development. The study used data from the Jyväskylä Longitudinal Study of Personality and Social Development (JYLS) (initial N = 369). The data consisted of 291 individuals whose generativity scores, measured using the Generativity Scale, were available at age 42, 50, or 61. Koistinen and Mäntymäki examine how graphic violence evokes affect in the context of ecological destruction in the UK-produced TV crime fiction series Fortitude (2015–17). They argue that the series mobilises generic exchange by incorporating speculative elements into a traditional crime narrative structure, thereby creating space for affective estrangement. They show how the amalgamation of violence, ecological destruction and affect serves as an entrance into socioecological critique with a strong cautionary element through the negotiation between the human and nonhuman and the ethics of violence. Maģistra darbs ir uzrakstīts angļu valodā uz 36 lapaspusēm, tas satur 19 attēlus, 3 tabulas un atsauces uz 36 literatūras avotiem. Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, vai Vernjē asumu ietekmē cilvēka novecošanās process kopējā populācijā. Metode. Pētījumā piedalījās 75 netrenēti dalībnieki divās vecuma grupās, lietotjot labāko iespējamo briļļu korekciju. Dalībniekiem nebija zināmu acs patoloģiju, izņemot agrīnu kataraktu. Dalībniekiem 3 reizes tika novērtēts Vernjē asums. Rezultāti. Vernjē asuma sliekšņi ir augstāki vecāku dalībnieku grupā nekā jaunāko dalībnieku grupā. Secinājumi. Se analizan aquí algunos mecanismos de difusión de conocimientos agronómicos en una zona agraria de la periferia europea caracterizada por los elevados rendimientos del suelo. Se estudia también el papel de las élites rurales en este proceso, destacando la función de legitimación social que ese papel tenia en la sociedad liberal del siglo XIX. Climate and agriculture: empirical evidence for countries and agroecological zones of the Sahel

In this paper, we investigate the relationship between climate change and variability, measured by temperature and rainfall, and agricultural production at the country and agroecological zone levels of the Sahel. We consider a crop production index and five cereals (maize, millet, sorghum, wheat and rice).
