Amoris laetitia, the post-synodal Exhortation of Pope Francis, provoked varied reactions among theologians. Especially controversial is the question of the admission of divorced people living in civil partnership to the sacraments of penance and reconciliation and the Eucharist. The present text presents the main arguments of Polish moral theologians, which came to the fore during the discussion on the practice of sacrament for divorced and remarried people. The aim of this paper is to present the main sources of the interpretative dispute about the message contained in the Apostolic Exhortation of Pope Francis Amoris laetitia (2016), on love in the family. Referring to the position of the “Dubia Cardinals”, it concerns primarily four issues, which we can name as the “most-discussed”, i.e. (1) Holy Communion for the divorced and remarried people; (2) Creative conscience and absolute moral prohibitions; (3) The law of gradualness; (4) The concept of mercy.
