The Chronicle of the parish Zawada Ks. provides an insight into the older and more recent history of an Upper Silesian parish. Written by, initially only German, later both German- and Polish-speaking pastor, the language of the chronicle illustrates the language contacts in multiple areas. The article focuses on contact phenomena that can be observed at the level of orthography.

Shape optimization in contact problems : Approximation and numerical realization

The optímal shape design of a two-dimensíonal elastic body on rigid foundatíon is analyzed. The relation between the continuous problem and the díscrete problem achieved by FEM is presented. Po odzyskaniu niepodległości na terenie nowego państwa polskiego obowiązywało pięć różnych systemów prawa cywilnego. Problemem był jednak nie tylko brak jednolitego prawa, lecz także jednolitego języka. Poszczególne dzielnice utrzymywały, że zachowała się u nich najdoskonalsza odmiana polszczyzny. W artykule analizie poddane zostały tłumaczenia kolokacji w urzędowych przekładach niemieckiego prawa rodzinnego, obowiązującego na zachodzie II Rzeczypospolitej celem zbadania, czy miały one wpływ na język współczesny. Dla porównania przeanalizowano także inne systemy prawa rodzinnego obowiązujące w Polsce okresu międzywojennego.

Multifokālo kontaktlēcu lietotāju redzes asums un stereoredze

Bakalaura darbs uzrakstīts uz 37 lapaspusēm, satur 10 zīmējumus, 5 tabulas un 18 literatūras avotus. Darba mērķis ir novērtēt redzes asumu un stereoredzi tuvumā un tālumā pacientiem koriģētiem ar brillēm un multifokālajām kontaktlēcām. Mūsu pētījumi parādīja, ka tāluma binokulārais redzes asums visiem pacientiem ir labs – virs 0,95. Tuvuma redzes asums pacientiem koriģētiem ar brillēm ir labāks un pacienti dod priekšroku brillēm. Tuvuma stereoredze noteikta ar Titmusa mušas testu un Titmusa apļu testu pacientiem koriģētiem ar brillēm un kontaktlēcām bija laba. This chapter discusses the results of a series of data on the syntax of subject clitic pronouns in Venetan dialects. The data were gathered through a crowdsourcing tool (google modules), and more than 700 participants took part in the inquiry. The data collection asked for grammaticality judgements on a series of contexts. The main research question was whether the syntax of subject clitics is changing in the language of the younger generation: this question is particularly important because the distribution of the Venetan varieties througout the Veneto region is changing, due to the increasing influence and presence of Italian, which is the L1 of most of the younger speakers. Katsekontaktin ja ihon sähkönjohtavuuden välistä yhteyttä on tutkittu aiemminkin, mutta tutkimusta ei ole tehty monitoimijaisessa terapiatilanteessa. Tämän tutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli tarkastella ihon sähkönjohtavuuden ja katsekontaktin välistä yhteyttä pariterapiassa pariskunnan välisen synkronian kautta, ja lisäksi selvittää, kuinka ihon sähkönjohtavuus muuttuu katsekontaktin eri hetkinä: ennen kuin katsekontakti alkaa, sen alkamishetkellä, ja alkamishetken jälkeen. Residual a posteriori error estimation for frictional contact with Nitsche method

We consider frictional contact problems in small strain elasticity discretized with finite elements and Nitsche method. Both bilateral and unilateral contact problems are taken into account, as well as both Tresca and Coulomb models for the friction. We derive residual a posteriori error estimates for each friction model, following [Chouly et al, IMA J. Numer. Anal. (38) 2018, pp. 921-954]. For the incomplete variant of Nitsche, we prove an upper bound for the dual norm of the residual, for Tresca and Coulomb friction, without any extra regularity and without a saturation assumption.
