This article consists of ex post methodological reflections on the procedures and practices that I applied in my monograph Politik als parlamentarischer Begriff: Perspektiven aus den Plenardebatten des Deutschen Bundestags (Leverkusen, 2021). The book analyses through 18 parliamentary terms the conceptualization of politics in German Bundestag plenary debates from 1949 to 2017. The book was an illustration of my long-term aim of combining political theorizing with the empirical analysis of debate. English: Functional theory of political campaign discourse has been applied widely to analysis political campaign discourse, especially political debates. However, there have been claims that the theory is not a suitable tool for analysing political debates outside the United States. Tensions between the people and parliament over representation are a normal feature of representative democracies. In this paper, we demonstrate how digital humanities analysis tools help in answering questions about the timing of debates on popular representation, tensions over its realization, and representatives’ changing perceptions on their parliamentary role. Bakalaura darbā tiek apskatīts tiesas debašu regulējums Kriminālprocesa likumā un citu valstu kriminālprocesa kodeksos, kā arī analizēti gaidāmo grozījumu Kriminālprocesa likumā (Nr. 427/Lp13) apsvērumi. Darba mērķis ir izpētīt tiesas debašu nozīmi un saturu kriminālprocesā, kā arī noskaidrot to ilguma ierobežošanas nepieciešamību un ietekmi uz iztiesāšanas norisi. Darba uzdevumi ir izpētīt tiesas debašu institūtu un tā vēsturisko attīstību Latvijā, analizēt tiesas debašu ilguma ierobežošanas iemeslus, pētot likumdošanas materiālus, kā arī salīdzināt regulējumu ārvalstīs un citos procesuālajos likumos Latvijā. Metaforu tulkošana Eiropas Savienības Parlamenta debatēs

Darbā identificētas metaforas Eiropas Savienības Parlamenta debašu runās ar mērķi analizēt izmantoto metaforu tulkošanas stratēģijas sinhronajā tulkojumā latviešu valodā, ņemot vērā metaforas veidu. Pirmajās divās nodaļās veikta zinātniskās literatūras izpēte saistībā ar tulkošanas un metaforas konceptu, sinhronās tulkošanas aspektiem, apskatīts metaforu iedalījums un tulkošanas stratēģijas. Trešajā nodaļā tiek analizētas parlamenta debatēs izmantotās metaforu tulkošanas stratēģijas. Tiek secināts, ka metaforas rada grūtības tulkiem, pārsvarā tulkotas izmantojot pārfrāzēšanu, nevis ekvivalentu metaforu, visbiežāk izmantotas leksiskas metaforas.
Ramowanie bezpieczeństwa w debatach telewizyjnych w kampaniach wyborczych: samorządowej (2014) i parlamentarnej (2015)

Celem badań przedstawionych w niniejszym artykule było zdiagnozowanie miejsca oraz ram interpretacyjnych (framingu) zagadnień związanych z bezpieczeństwem w debatach przedwyborczych. Analizie poddane zostały debaty telewizyjne, które odbyły się w miastach wojewódzkich przed wyborami samorządowymi z 2014 r. oraz parlamentarnymi z 2015 r. Prezentowane badania pokazują zasadnicze zróżnicowanie, zarówno jeśli chodzi o obecność kwestii bezpieczeństwa w debacie na poziomie krajowym ^lokalnym, jak i narracji stosowanej w odniesieniu do poszczególnych typów bezpieczeństwa.

Tutkimukseni tehtävänä on selvittää, mitä turvallisuusargumentteja käytettiin Saksan parlamentaarisissa debateissa, jotka koskivat atomivoimasta luopumista vuonna 2011 maaliskuusta kesäkuuhun, jolloin keskustelu oli vilkkainta. Alkupäivämäärä määräytyi Fukushiman ydinonnettomuuden mukaan ja loppupäivämäärän määritteli hetki, jolloin Saksan parlamentti, Bundestag, hyväksyi uusia lakeja liittyen ydinenergian käyttöön ja rajoittamiseen. Ydinenergian käytön rajoittamiseen ja poistamiseen viitataan termillä Atomausstieg.
