Association between Anxiety, Quality of Life and Academic Performance of the Final-Year-Students in Latvia

The main objective of this study was to investigate the association between final-year students’ anxiety level and quality of life (QOL) with their academic achievements. A longitudinal study was performed in regular schools and in high-rated gymnasiums at the beginning and at the end of the school year. Multiple linear regression models were built for the association between level of anxiety/QOL with academic achievements. Le fonctionnement des rivières du bassin de l’Èbre a subi d’importants changements depuis 1950. Il s’agit d’un processus rapide et très marqué, de simplification et de stabilisation sur le fleuve principal et sur ses principaux affluents pyrénéens. Official Development Assistance in fragile states: an unresolved issue - Focus on education

Since the mid 2000s, the theme of "fragile states" became a structuring axis of development policies of most donors. Insofar as investment in education is perceived as a necessary, if not sufficient, to vanquish poverty, the option to stimulate and accelerate the development of education constitutes an opportunity for the international community. Parasites, including macroparasites, protists, fungi, bacteria and viruses, can impose a heavy burden upon host animals. However, hosts are not without defences. One aspect of host defence, behavioural avoidance, has been studied in the terrestrial realm for over 50 years, but was first reported from the aquatic environment approximately 20 years ago. Comparative transcriptomics of albino and warningly‐coloured caterpillars

Abstract Coloration is perhaps one of the most prominent adaptations for survival and reproduction of many taxa. Coloration is of particular importance for aposematic species, which rely on their coloring and patterning acting as a warning signal to deter predators. Most research has focused on the evolution of warning coloration by natural selection. This article explores how two migrants working as cleaners in Finland narrate their work-related Finnish language learning trajectories.
