Background: In the Need-Adapted approach decisions are made in therapy meetings with all relevant parties; this poses a professional challenge to psychiatrists. Aims: To describe psychiatrists’ inner dialogues concerning their workmates in treatment meetings. Methods: Using videos of co-research interviews, stimulated-recall interviews with eight psychiatrists were conducted and transcribed verbatim. The material was analyzed using an adapted form of dialogical analysis, focusing on voices and positioning. Pro gradu -tutkielmamme keskittyy terapeutin sisäisen dialogiin. Tarkoituksenamme on selvittää, millaisia ääniä terapeutin sisäisessä puheessa on kuultavissa, ja ovatko nämä ristiriidassa keskenään. Tutkimuksemme pohjaa dialogiseen viitekehykseen sekä Roberin sisäisen dialogin tutkimuksiin. Tutkimme terapeutin sisäisiä ääniä jälkihaastattelun (Stimulated Recall Interview) avulla, jossa koehenkilöitä pyydettiin palauttamaan mieleensä istunnon aikaisia ajatuksia näyttämällä heille terapiaistunnosta nauhoitettuja katkelmia. Teacher–student relationship and students’ social competence in relation to the quality of educational dialogue

Teacher–student relationship and students’ social competence were investigated in relation to the quality of educational dialogue. The data consisted of 151 video-recorded Grade 2 lessons. The teachers (N = 50) also rated their students’ (N = 664) social competence and the teacher–student relationship. In terms of teacher–student relationships, closeness associated positively while conflict associated negatively with high quality dialogue. Regarding students’ social competence, cooperation skills and empathy linked positively while disruptiveness linked negatively with high quality dialogue.
