Readability and the Web
2012
Readability indices measure how easy or difficult it is to read and comprehend a text. In this paper we look at the relation between readability indices and web documents from two different perspectives. On the one hand we analyse how to reliably measure the readability of web documents by applying content extraction techniques and incorporating a bias correction. On the other hand we investigate how web based corpus statistics can be used to measure readability in a novel and language independent way.

Abstract The number of scientific papers in the field of Sustainable Manufacturing (SM) shows a strong growth of interest in this topic in the last 20 years. Despite this huge number of publications, a clear statement of the profound meaning of Sustainable Manufacturing, or at least a strong theoretical support, is still missing. [EN] The legislation on assisted reproduction contemplates the ¿post mortem¿ fecundation. Nevertheless, the document for the presentation of the assent raises some doubts in relation with the principle of party autonomy and the new technologies of the information and communication (ICTs). In the present work one thinks about these questions and one tries to contribute some solution of application in the Spanish legal system.

Las revistas científicas definen el "research front" de cualquier disciplina académica. Existe una interacción característica entre nivel de desarrollo institucio-nal e implantación social y número y diversidad de revistas. Esto es especialmente claro en el caso de la psicología española. Se estudia la situación actual de las revis-tas españolas de psicología, analizándose algunas de sus características formales como la antigüedad y periodicidad, localidad e institución editora, circulación en ba-ses de datos y accesibilidad, a través de su inclusión en las principales bases de datos bibliográficas, nacionales e internacionales.

El Centro de Documentación sobre drogodependencias REDOC (en adelante REDOC), funciona como un recurso necesario para el investigador en drogodependencias. A través de la base de datos creada en el Centro, puede accederse a monografías, mate¬rial preventivo y revistas específicas en toxicomanías. Las revistas científicas son el principal vehículo de difusión de los conocimientos.
