Air Quality Assessment by the Determination of Trace Elements in Lichens (Xanthoria calcicola) in an Industrial Area (Sicily, Italy)

This study provides data on variation in the content of metals and metalloids measured in the lichens (Xanthoria calcicola Oxner) collected in the Syracusan petrochemical complex (Sicily, Italy) which is considered one of the largest in Europe. Concentrations of eighteen trace elements measured in the lichens that were collected from 49 different points were analyzed using an inductively coupled plasma (ICP-MS) device. The concentrations of the typical elements of industrial emissions (As, Cr, Ni, and V) highlight the environmental criticality that exists in the study area. Multi-channel receptors based on thiopyrylium functionalised with macrocyclic receptors for the recognition of transition metal cations and anions.

We report herein the synthesis and characterization of a family of ligands containing different cation binding sites covalently connected to a thiopyrylium signalling reporter. The receptors L1–L6 are able to signal the presence of certain metal cations via three different channels; i.e. electrochemically, fluorogenically and chromogenically. An acetonitrile solution of L1–L6 shows a bright blue colour due to a charge-transfer band in the 575–585 nm region. The colour variation in acetonitrile of L1–L6 in the presence of the metal cations Ag+, Cd2+, Cu2+, Fe3+, Hg2+, Ni2+, Pb2+ and Zn2+ has been studied. Artykuł poświęcony jest charakterystyce kuriozalnych postaci z kreskówek emitowanych przede wszystkim przez stację Cartoon Network, a także Disney XD oraz telewizję Polsat. Analiza bohaterów tychże animacji miała wykrystalizować czynniki, które wpływają na pojawienie się pierwiastka niezwykłości, dziwaczności w kreskówkach. Tekst został podzielony na trzy części. Każda z nich poświęcona jest jednemu z warunków, który wpływa na postrzeganie bohaterów animacji przez pryzmat kuriozalności.

Darba tēma ir ar krāsām saistītu frazeoloģisko vienību (FV) tulkošana no spāņu uz latviešu valodu. Darba mērķis ir apkopot galveno teoriju par frazeoloģiju un tās tulkošanu, pielietot to glosārija veidošanā ar krāsām saistītu FV tulkojumiem no spāņu latviešu valodā, analizēt tulkošanas rezultātus, kā arī apskatīt tos no semantiskā aspekta. Galvenie secinājumi ir tādi, ka biežākie gadījumi konkrēto FV tulkojumos ir daļējas ekvivalences, kuri izraisa vislielākās grūtības, parādot problemātisko tulkošanas procesu.
