Sustainable Recycling of Insoluble Rust Waste for the Synthesis of Iron-Containing Perovskite-Type Catalysts

Insoluble rust waste from the scraping of rusted iron-containing materials represents a cheap, eco-friendly, and available source of iron. LaFeO3 perovskite-type powders were successfully prepared by solution combustion synthesis using rust waste from an electricity transmission tower manufacturer. Solution combustion synthesis enabled introduction of this insoluble iron precursor directly into the final product, bypassing complex extraction procedures. Catalytic activity in the propylene oxidation of the waste-derived LaFeO3 with stoichiometric Fe/La ratio was almost identical to the commercial iron nitrate-derived LaFeO3 , thus demonstrating the viability of this recycling solution. National audience; On propose dans cette étude la modélisation des phénomènes physiques à l'origine et induits par celui de rupture de fibre au sein d'un composite unidirectionnel. Cette modélisation, faite à l'échelle microscopique, permet de construire une base de données qui va décrire cette échelle au sein d'un procédé multiéchelles FE2 simplifié. Ce procédé est ensuite utilisé pour réaliser le dimensionnement à l'éclatement d'un réservoir composite bobiné.
Co-crystals of an agrochemical active – A pyridine-amine synthon for a thioamide group

Five novel co-crystals of thiophanate-ethyl (TE), an agrochemical active, with di(2-pyridyl)ketone (1), 2-benzoylpyridine (2), 3-benzoylpyridine (3), 4-phenylpyridine (4) and biphenyl (5) were found and crystal structures of four of them (TE1–TE3, TE5) solved by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Three of the co-crystals (TE1–TE3) form by way of a reliable pyridine-amine hydrogen bond synthon and one (TE5) because of close packing effects. The fifth co-crystal was identified by X-ray powder diffraction. Our cities should be designed to accommodate everybody, including children. We will not move toward a more sustainable society unless we accept that children are people with transportation needs, and ‘bussing’ them around, or providing parental limousine services at all times, will not lead to sustainability.
