JH-Operators and Occasionally Weakly g-Biased Pairs in Fuzzy Symmetric Spaces
2013
We introduce the notions of $\mathcal{JH}$-operators and occasionally weakly $g$-biased mappings in fuzzy symmetric spaces to prove common fixed point theorems for self-mappings satisfying a generalized mixed contractive condition. We also prove analogous results for two pairs of $\mathcal{JH}$-operators by assuming symmetry only on the set of points of coincidence. These results unify, extend and complement many results existing in the recent literature. We give also an application of our results to product spaces.
Unified Metrical Common Fixed Point Theorems in 2-Metric Spaces via an Implicit Relation
2013
We prove some common fixed point theorems for two pairs of weakly compatible mappings in 2-metric spaces via an implicit relation. As an application to our main result, we derive Bryant's type generalized fixed point theorem for four finite families of self-mappings which can be utilized to derive common fixed point theorems involving any finite number of mappings. Our results improve and extend a host of previously known results. Moreover, we study the existence of solutions of a nonlinear integral equation.
A fixed point theorem inG-metric spaces viaα-series
2014
In the context of G -metric spaces we prove a common fixed point theorem for a sequence of self mappings using a new concept of α-series. Keywords: α-series, common fixed point, G -metric space Quaestiones Mathematicae 37(2014), 429-434
A Mönch type fixed point theorem under the interior condition
2009
Abstract In this paper we show that the well-known Monch fixed point theorem for non-self mappings remains valid if we replace the Leray–Schauder boundary condition by the interior condition. As a consequence, we obtain a partial generalization of Petryshyn's result for nonexpansive mappings.
Shrinking and boundedly complete Schauder frames in Fréchet spaces
2014
We study Schauder frames in Fréchet spaces and their duals, as well as perturbation results. We define shrinking and boundedly complete Schauder frames on a locally convex space, study the duality of these two concepts and their relation with the reflexivity of the space. We characterize when an unconditional Schauder frame is shrinking or boundedly complete in terms of properties of the space. Several examples of concrete Schauder frames in function spaces are also presented.
On fixed points for a–n–f-contractive multi-valued mappings in partial metric spaces
2015
Recently, Samet et al. introduced the notion of α-ψ-contractive type mappings and established some fixed point theorems in complete metric spaces. Successively, Asl et al. introduced the notion of αӿ-ψ-contractive multi-valued mappings and gave a fixed point result for these multivalued mappings. In this paper, we establish results of fixed point for αӿ-admissible mixed multivalued mappings with respect to a function η and common fixed point for a pair (S; T) of mixed multi-valued mappings, that is, αӿ-admissible with respect to a function η in partial metric spaces. An example is given to illustrate our result.
Common fixed point theorems for multi-valued maps
2012
Abstract We establish some results on coincidence and common fixed points for a two-pair of multi-valued and single-valued maps in complete metric spaces. Presented theorems generalize recent results of Gordji et al [4] and several results existing in the literature.
Meir-Keeler Type Contractions for Tripled Fixed Points
2012
Abstract In 2011, Berinde and Borcut [6] introduced the notion of tripled fixed point in partially ordered metric spaces. In our paper, we give some new tripled fixed point theorems by using a generalization of Meir-Keeler contraction.
Metric or partial metric spaces endowed with a finite number of graphs: a tool to obtain fixed point results
2014
Abstract We give some fixed point theorems in the setting of metric spaces or partial metric spaces endowed with a finite number of graphs. The presented results extend and improve several well-known results in the literature. In particular, we discuss a Caristi type fixed point theorem in the setting of partial metric spaces, which has a close relation to Ekelandʼs principle.
Partial Hausdorff metric and Nadler’s fixed point theorem on partial metric spaces
2012
Abstract In this paper, we introduce the concept of a partial Hausdorff metric. We initiate study of fixed point theory for multi-valued mappings on partial metric space using the partial Hausdorff metric and prove an analogous to the well-known Nadlerʼs fixed point theorem. Moreover, we give a homotopy result as application of our main result.
