Die gegenwärtige Entwicklung unterschiedlicher Mesh-Materialien hat zu einer Verbesserung der individuellen operativen Sanierung des Genitalprolapses geführt. Makroporöse monofilamentäre synthetische Netze scheinen geeignet zur Verwendung beim Rezidivprolaps oder bei ausgeprägten Beckenbodeninsuffizienzen zu sein. Die Verwendung von biologischen Netzen zeigt eine deutlich bessere Verträglichkeit mit weniger Infektionen oder Erosionen, bislang ist jedoch nicht das Problem der langfristigen Haltbarkeit geklärt. Objectives: The aim of this prospective clinical trial was to evaluate the success implant rates during 24 months using OSFE procedure without grafting materials. Study Design: 42 adult patients (22 female, 15 male) were selected according to Nedir et al ?s inclusion criteria of which 5 patients were excluded, due to periapical pathology in adjacent teeth (n=3) and treatment with bisphos - phonates (n=2). 37 patients aged 31-68 years were selected. Purpose: In this study the de novo bone formation capacity of a nanocrystalline hydroxyapatite bone substitute was assessed 3 and 6 months after its insertion into the human sinus cavity. Materials and Methods: Sinus cavity augmentation was performed in a total of 14 patients (n = 7 implantation after 3 months; n = 7 implantation after 6 months) with severely atrophic maxillary bone. Meta-analytic study of implant survival following sinus augmentation

Objectives: To evaluate graft types used for maxillary sinus augmentation and review success rates of dental implants inserted in these areas, analyzing the graft materials used, implant surface types and the moment of implant placement. Study Design: A meta-analytic study reviewing articles on sinus augmentation published during the last ten years. Results: 3,975 implants placed in sinus augmentations (with bony windows) were registered, of which 3,749 implants survived, a survival rate of 94.3%. The management of pelvic floor dysfunctions might need to be based on a comprehensive neuro-musculoskeletal therapy such as The Rolf Method of Structural Integration (SI). The aim of the study was to evaluate the pelvic floor muscle (PFM) after the tenth session of SI by using surface electromyography (sEMG). This was a randomized, interventional study. Thirty-three healthy women were randomly assigned to the experimental (SI) or control group. The outcome measures included PFM bioelectrical activity, assessed using sEMG and endovaginal probes.
