In this chapter the main issues concerning legal effects of international legal rules in domestic orders are examined in a systematic way. This investigation is underpinned by the following five pillars. First, the idea that States are not bound by international obligations in this respect. This article analyzes the structures of «ésser» + participle in old Catalan. It highlights the diversity of constructions that may constitute this hind of construction (compound tenses, copulatives and passives). It analyzes the methodological problems derived from structural ambiguity, and points explains the evolutionary ways that language has established to solve the problems generated by formal syncretism.
Internal Communication System Analysis in a Small Company

[EN] The aim of this paper is to analyze the internal communication system in a small company. We used structured interviews in all hierarchical levels to compare the perceptive differences and the way of using the communication tools. A total of five one-hour interview sessions were made to evaluate the involved variables in every communicative tool appointed byor-ganization members. The results showed some contradictions between the respondentsand a low horizontal and descending communication caused by the limited use of these commu-nication tools. Finally, suggestions for improvements to prevent problems and enhance their positive effects were informed.

The article examines various resonances of the “speech technology” (Sprechkunde) current in German and Russian-Soviet context of 1900–1920s. It contains first of all a brief history of the techniques of speech in Germany, an inquiry into some psychophysical sources of the “speech technology” and a survey of the contribution of German “new rhetoric” to this movement. The Russian counterparts of this trend include the Institute of the Living Word (Institut živogo slova, 1918–1923), some Russian formalists, the scenic speech specialists and the theatre pedagogues. This exploratory mixed data study investigated the role of technology in adult migrant language and late literacy education in Finland. In addition to an online pre-pandemic survey targeted at Finnish language and literacy teachers, four in-service teachers were interviewed during the COVID-19 pandemic in late 2020. With means of qualitative content analysis an account of teachers’ individual experiences and views of technology-equipped language and literacy learning was generated.
