E-tutoring nella didattica telematica. Pratiche di modellamento.

2021

Internal Audit in Polish Self-government Units: Attempt to Evaluate Selected Aspects of its Functioning

2018

Internal audit has been functioning in self-government units in Poland since 2002. Its current form has changed considerably during that time. Initially, internal audit particularly focused on the area of financial economy of the unit. With time, it evolved towards a complex evaluation of the activities of the unit, considering all aspects of its functioning. Internal audit is currently transforming towards an efficiency audit. The objective of the article is to present the organisation and basic rules of performance of internal audit in SGU, to attempt an assessment of selected aspects of its functioning, and to point to possible directions of its development. For this purpose, analysis wa…

Early adulthood and current physical activity and their association with symptoms of pelvic floor disorders in middle-aged women : an observational s…

2023

Objective To investigate associations of early and middle adulthood physical activity (PA) with symptoms of pelvic floor disorders (PFD), i.e., stress urinary incontinence (SUI), urge urinary incontinence (UUI), fecal incontinence (FI), constipation or defecation difficulties (CDD), and feeling of pelvic organ prolapse (POP) among middle-aged women. Design A cross-sectional, observational study with retrospective PA assessment. Setting University Research Laboratory. Sample A random population sample of 1098 47-to-55-year-old Finnish women. Methods Early adulthood PA, current PA, and demographical and gynaecological variables were assessed using self-report questionnaires. Logistic regressi…

2017

The aim of the study is to explore situational, cultural and pragmatic factors that might trigger code-switching during informal conversations outside of the classroom at school among bilingual adolescents in Haparanda, Helsinki and Stockholm. An attempt is made to clarify different functions of code-switching, i.e. why bilingual adolescents code-switch from Swedish to Finnish and vice versa. The conversational data, consisting of video-recorded group and pair conversations, was collected in 2014–2015 at six junior high schools in Haparanda, Helsinki and Stockholm. The analysis of the data is qualitative. The theoretical framework is found in the field of translanguaging, which aims to desc…

Metaforas modes emuāros

2017

Empīriskie dati ir ekscerpēti no modes emuāra The Blonde Salad.

The Possibility of Performing Money Functions by Digital Currencies Illustrated With an Example of Bitcoin

2018

In this paper the considerations on possibility of performing money functions by digital currency with an example of bitcoin are presented. The conditions of bitcoin emerge and its spectacular dynamic development caused by limitations of contemporary financial system are being discussed. This paper introduced one of the most popular digital currencies — bitcoin in terms of three elementary economic functions of money: mean of exchange, measure of value and store of value.

Comparison between the MHFEM formulation and a 2nd spatial order FV formulation of the linear groundwater flow problem

2008

Mixed and Mixed Hybrid Finite Elements (MHFE) methods have been widely used in the last decade for simulation of groundwater flow problem, petroleum reservoir problems, potential flow problems, etc. The main advantage of these methods is that, unlike the classical Galerkin approach, they guarantee local and global mass balance, as well the flux continuity between inter-element sides. The simple shape of the control volume, where the mass conservation is satisfied, makes also easier to couple this technique with a Finite Volume technique in the time splitting approach for the solution of advection-dispersion problems. In the present paper a new second spatial approximation order Finite Volum…
