Łojasiewicz exponents, the integral closure of ideals and Newton polyhedra

We give an upper estimate for the Łojasiewicz exponent $\ell(J,I)$ of an ideal $J\subseteq A(K^{n})$ with respect to another ideal I in the ring $A(K^{n})$ of germs analytic functions $f$ : $(K^{n},\mathrm{O})\rightarrow K$ , where $K=C$ or $R$ , using Newton polyhedrons. In particular, we give a method to estimate the Łojasiewicz exponent $\alpha_{0}(f)$ of a germ $f\in A(K^{n})$ that can be applied when $f$ is Newton degenerate with respect to its Newton polyhedron.

Indefinite integrals involving the incomplete elliptic integrals of the first and second kinds

ABSTRACTA substantial number of indefinite integrals are presented for the incomplete elliptic integrals of the first and second kinds. The number of new results presented is about three times the total number to be found in the current literature. These integrals were obtained with a Lagrangian method based on the differential equations which these functions obey. All results have been checked numerically with Mathematica. Similar results for the incomplete elliptic integral of the third kind will be presented separately.

ABSTRACTA substantial number of new indefinite integrals involving the incomplete elliptic integral of the third kind are presented, together with a few integrals for the other two kinds of incomplete elliptic integral. These have been derived using a Lagrangian method which is based on the differential equations which these functions satisfy. Techniques for obtaining new integrals are discussed, together with transformations of the governing differential equations. Integrals involving products combining elliptic integrals of different kinds are also presented.

An FPGA-Based Adaptive Fuzzy Coprocessor

The architecture of a general purpose fuzzy logic coprocessor and its implementation on an FPGA based System on Chip is described. Thanks to its ability to support a fast dynamic reconfiguration of all its parameters, it is suitable for implementing adaptive fuzzy logic algorithms, or for the execution of different fuzzy algorithms in a time sharing fashion. The high throughput obtained using a pipelined structure and the efficient data organization allows significant increase of the computational capabilities strongly desired in applications with hard real-time constraints.

Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) without intellectual disability (ID) represent approximately two-thirds of the ASD population. Here we focused on prospective research assessing different areas of functioning of children with ASD, without ID, until adolescence. Based on a pre-registered protocol (PROSPERO CRD42020189029), a systematic review of prospective studies (published between 01.01.2010 and 01.01.2020) was conducted. Burnout during a long-term rehabilitation: comparing low burnout, high burnout - benefited, and high burnout - not benefited trajectories.

To focus rehabilitation activities among burnout clients more effectively, it is important to investigate who benefits from burnout interventions.
