International audience; There are no studies which have compared the risk of severe Covid-19 and related mortality between transplant recipients and non-transplant patients. We enrolled two groups of patients hospitalized for Covid-19, i.e., kidney transplant recipients from the French Registry of Solid Organ Transplant (n=306) and a single-center cohort of non-transplant patients (n=795). An analysis was performed among subgroups matched for age and risk factors for severe Covid-19 or mortality. Nonunion and malunion in proximal humerus fractures

Proximal humerus fractures are common injuries and the development of nonunion or malunion is infrequent. However, these complications can occur with both operative and non-operative treatment of the fracture. A complete evaluation of these patients must include an investigation of the original fracture, bone and soft tissue quality as well as an extensive radiological study with X-Ray, CT and MRI. Asymptomatic and low demanding patients can benefit from conservative treatment, otherwise surgery is necessary. Multiple treatment options exist with no consensus upon the gold standard. Background The aim of this study is to evaluate a possible correlation between specific anthropometric parameters and sizes of knee tendons commonly used for ACL reconstruction. We hypothesized that specific clinical and radiological knee measurements could be better tendon sizes predictors than age, gender, height and weight. Injury to these structures may occur because of an elbow dislocation or due to a severe varus or valgus force. Most elbow dislocations are stable once reduced and may be treated conservatively. Pēcoperācijas ātriju fibrilācija (POĀF) ir biežākā komplikācija pacientiem, kuriem veikta operācija uz atvērtas sirds. Kā rezultātā tā ietekmē morbiditāti, mortalitāti, kā arī palielina finansiālas izmaksas. Pētījuma mērķis ir uzzināt vai ir korelācija starp veiktiem pirms operācijas standarta izmeklējuma rezultātiem un pēcoperācijas ātriju fibrilāciju. Jo nosakot augsta riska pacientu var uzsākt preventīvu ārstēšanu. Materiāli un metodes: retrospektīvs pētījums, kur tika iekļauti pacienti, kam veikta sirds operācija ar sternotomijas pieeju, kuriem pirms operācijas bija sīnusa ritms n = 111. 39 pacienti netika iekļauti pētījumā, jo pirms operācijas bija ātriju fibrilācija vai anamnēzē ātrij…
