Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) is a technique enabling the measurement of bone mineral density (BMD) around prostheses after hip resurfacing arthroplasty (HRA). In this study, we evaluated the consistency of different DXA acquisition modes with 33 patients who had undergone HRA. Patients were scanned with DXA immediately after surgery and at 3-, 6-, and 12-mo time points. All the patients were scanned with dual femur and orthopedic hip acquisition modes and analyzed using 10-region ROI model. In a prospective cohort study we investigated the short-term results of the Artek cup, designed with a shallow outline and a height-reduced metal inlay for a large size 38 mm metal head, in a group of female patients with mild dysplasia of the hip.Fourteen consecutive patients with 17 dysplastic hip joints were included in the study. En este artículo se presentan los resultados del análisis realizado mediante análisis de conglomerados de k-medias para identificar perfiles multivariados de valoración para la identificación de niños con TDA-H. Para ello, se ha utilizado la Escala Magallanes (EMA-DDA), que requiere la evaluación del alumnado por parte de dos colectivos: padres y profesorado.
