Abstract Cost growth and cost overrun of projects is a well-researched topic, but still a recurring problem. Some of the problems may be attributed to the difficulties of setting a realistic cost estimate in the early phase of the project. This paper aims to give insight o the challenge of setting realistic cost targets. We particularly focus on large and complex infrastructure projects in the context on the Norwegian construction industry. PLA is industrially produced by the ring-opening polymerization of Lactide. Attitude estimation from polarimetric cameras

International audience; In the robotic field, navigation and path planning applications benefit from a wide range of visual systems (e.g. perspective cameras, depth cameras, catadioptric cameras, etc.). In outdoor conditions, these systems capture information in which sky regions cover a major segment of the images acquired. However, sky regions are discarded and are not considered as visual cue in vision applications. Improving Nearest Neighbor Based Multi-target Prediction Through Metric Learning

The purpose of this work is to learn specific distance functions to be applied for multi-target regression problems using nearest neighbors. The idea of preserving the order relation between input and output vectors considering their corresponding distances is used along a maximal margin criterion to formulate a specific metric learning problem. Extensive experiments and the corresponding discussion try to put forward the advantages of the proposed algorithm that can be considered as a generalization of previously proposed approaches. Preliminary results suggest that this line of work can lead to very competitive algorithms with convenient properties.

Echo cancellation system for iso-frequency repeaters : contribution to the development of a new generation digital repeater

On-frequency repeaters are a cost-effective solution to extend coverage and enhance wireless communications, especially in shadow areas. However, coupling between the receiving antenna and the transmitting antenna, called radio frequency echo, increases modulation errors and creates oscillations in the system when the echo power is high. A Note on Keys and Keystreams of Chacha20 for Multi-key Channels

In this paper we analyze the keystreams generated by the Chacha20 stream cipher. We also compare these to the ones generated by its predecessor, the RC4 stream cipher. Due to the proposed multi-key channels in the upcoming TLS 1.3 standard we analyze the behavior of the keystream in the boundary case where there is a single bit difference between two keys used for the initiation of the stream cipher algorithms. The goal is to check whether a single bit change in the key has any predictable influence on the bits of the keystream output.
