Internet addiction, temperament, and the moderator role of family emotional involvement

This study examined the relationship between internet addiction, temperament, and family functioning focusing on the unique and common contribution that temperament and family functioning made to internet addiction. A total of 320 adolescents (164 boys and 156 girls), from 15 to 17 years (M = 16.06, SD = 0.59), completed measures of internet addiction, temperament, and family functioning. Data showed that salience, as the ability of internet to change negatively person’s life, was predicted positively by temperament linked to lack of control and by the perception of low level of familial emotional involvement. Background: Long-term follow-up and angiographic findings of serpiginous choroiditis, a chronic disease with recurrences of unknown origin, are reported. Patients and Methods: A retrospective analysis of the data of 4 patients with serpiginous choroidopathy, who were treated in the eye clinic of Mainz in the past 10-18 years was made. Progression of disease was documented by photography, as well as fluorescein and indocyanine green angiography. Patients with acute lesions were treated with steroids per os for some weeks. The aim of the paper is to research different approaches to researching and promoting the well-being in municipalities. To achieve the aim, such qualitative and quantitative methods of research as comparing, grouping, graphical analysis, focus group methods will be used. The main results and findings of the paper are: the role of municipalities in promoting well-being is increasing contrary to the role of national or regional authorities, due to the autonomous functions of local authorities, intensive informative links and a wide range of available economic and social instruments.
