Most recommender algorithms are designed to suggest relevant items, but suggesting these items does not always result in user satisfaction. Therefore, the efforts in recommender systems recently shifted towards serendipity, but generating serendipitous recommendations is difficult due to the lack of training data. Higher-order Nonnegative CANDECOMP/PARAFAC Tensor Decomposition Using Proximal Algorithm

Tensor decomposition is a powerful tool for analyzing multiway data. Nowadays, with the fast development of multisensor technology, more and more data appear in higherorder (order > 4) and nonnegative form. However, the decomposition of higher-order nonnegative tensor suffers from poor convergence and low speed. In this study, we propose a new nonnegative CANDECOM/PARAFAC (NCP) model using proximal algorithm. The block principal pivoting method in alternating nonnegative least squares (ANLS) framework is employed to minimize the objective function. The flexibility of participating in education can be improved by utilising lecture videos. By producing videos of contact teaching lectures and offering them to students as real-time videos and recordings, opens up new participation opportunities regarding time and place. This study examines an environment in which students can freely choose their mode of participation for each individual lecture. The objective has been to identify possible changes in participation by looking at participations between 2008–2012 and in 2017. Cultural Politics of Love and Provision among Poor Youth in Urban Tanzania

This article examines how urban youth in the poorest neighbourhoods of Dar es Salaam negotiate the terms of transactional intimacy, that is, heterosexual relations in which men are expected to provide for women materially. Using the concept of ‘affect’, I argue that this negotiation involves different levels of male providership, as well as moral values attached to notions of ‘true love’ and the Swahili concept of tamaa. Witnessing the experience of European bordering: Watching the documentaryUnder den samme himmelin an immigration detention centre

This article draws on theories of bordering and mediated witnessing to examine a documentary film that mediates migrants’ experiences of bordering in Europe. My analysis of Under den samme himmel/Days of Hope shows how the film captures the multiplicity of bordering practices, from geographical to socio-cultural borderings. The analysis is informed by watching and discussing the film in an immigrant detention facility in Finland with people who experienced and eye-witnessed experiences similar to those depicted in the film.
