We examined Indonesian school teachers’ perceptions and expectations about their professional learning, and their justifications for these, before they embarked on a transnational master’s programme carried out in both Indonesia and Finland. The data were collected using the method of empathy-based stories. The findings showed that the teachers expected the programme content, execution and internationality to impact positively on their professional learning, while negative professional learning scenarios were framed as stemming from a lack of personal motivation or lack of support from the Indonesian community. Tämän kvalitatiivisen tutkielman tavoitteena oli selvittää viimeisen vuosikurssin käyneiden IB-lukiolaisten käsityksiä opiskelusta suomalaisessa IB-lukiossa. Aineiston keruussa käytettiin puolistrukturoituja teemahaastatteluja, ja tutkimusta varten haastateltiin seitsemää suomalaisen IB-lukion oppilasta. Tutkimuskysymykset koostuivat seuraavista aihealueista: IB-lukioon hakeminen ja koulutuksen rakenne, IB-opiskelijaprofiili, englannin kielen rooli koulutuksessa, jatkokoulutus- ja uraodotukset sekä kansainvälisyys. The current article discusses how the increasing student diversity and transformation of work challenge language education at the Finnish universities of applied sciences (UAS). The article highlights some administrative and pedagogical solutions that have been developed at Karelia UAS to enable the progress of diverse students towards professional competence in foreign languages necessitated by the changes in the labour market. Multi-form education has greatly increased also in the educational world of Finland during the last few decades. This is a study of the language learners on a multi-form English course at the Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences. There were 82 students participating in the study, 53 of them had senior secondary school as their educational background and 29 had second level vocational education. They studied in six groups taught and guided by four English teachers. The compulsory, common English course consisted of c. 50% contact instruction and of c. 50% independent, but guided distance learning. International audience; At the University of Bremen in teaching complex analysis, we split the last part of the lecture into two branches according to profession: While future mathematicians deepen their understanding in a branch for them, future teachers take a branch of the lecture where they prepare a task with dynamical geometry software for pupils which is based on phenomena of complex analysis. Here, we describe the design of the course, some general aims and first results obtained from the branch for future teachers.

Exposure to EMF could lead to neurological changes causing morphological or chemical changes in the brain and other internal organs. AbstractMorphology assessment has become the standard method for evaluation of embryo quality and selecting human blastocysts for transfer inin vitro fertilization(IVF). This process is highly subjective for some embryos and thus prone to human bias. As a result, morphological assessment results may vary extensively between embryologists and in some cases may fail to accurately predict embryo implantation and live birth potential.
