With regard to a trip model articulated in contextual terms, the research proposes to trace the different expressive ways of some travellers in relationship to the places of which they had experience, with the purpose to emphasize the more stable personal learnings. The investigation moves from the administration of a semi-structured interview to 14 travellers, then analyzed through the IPA (Smith, Osborn 2003) and the CCRT (Luborsky, Crits-Christoph, 1990). Irrelevant aspects of the environment or irrelevant attributes of task-relevant stimuli can have important and reliable effects on behavior. When the specific values of an irrelevant stimulus attribute are correlated with different responses, a correlational-cuing effect is observed: faster and more accurate responses when the correlation is positive than when it is negative. Previous work has shown that this effect is not due to simple differences in how often the specific stimuli are being presented, and most explanations of the effect have stressed the clear parallels with classical associative learning. Computational methods and theory for ion channel research

Ion channels are fundamental biological devices that act as gates in order to ensure selective ion transport across cellular membranes; their operation constitutes the molecular mechanism through which basic biological functions, such as nerve signal transmission and muscle contraction, are carried out. Here, we review recent results in the field of computational research on ion channels, covering theoretical advances, state-of-the-art simulation approaches, and frontline modeling techniques. We also report on few selected applications of continuum and atomistic methods to characterize the mechanisms of permeation, selectivity, and gating in biological and model channels.

Deep learning for the automated detection of epileptic seizures has received much attention during recent years. In this work, one dimensional convolutional neural network (1D-CNN) and two dimensional convolutional neural network (2D-CNN) are simultaneously used on electroencephalogram (EEG) data for seizure detection. Firstly, using sliding windows without overlap on raw EEG to obtain the definite one-dimension time EEG segments (1D-T), and continuous wavelet transform (CWT) for 1D-T signals to obtain the two-dimension time-frequency representations (2D-TF).
