Suomen koulujen opetussuunnitelmat pyrkivät toteuttamaan ja edistämään tasa-arvoa, mutta tasa-arvon toteutuminen koulujen arjessa vaatii vielä työtä. Vieraan kielen oppimista onkin verrattu uuden identiteetin omaksumiseen, sillä sen myötä oppijan käsitys itsestään muuttuu. This article discusses written narratives about foreign language learning. The stories were collected in a contest organised by KVS Foundation (Kansanvalistusseura), a Finnish organisation for adult education. Over 500 texts were sent for the contest, representing writers of both sexes, various language backgrounds and many professions. The age of writers varied from 8 to 80. In this article we discuss the nature of the data and the creation of a data base. Some preliminary observations are reported and a case study discussed. The relation between the academic and everyday views of language learning is also dealt with. peerReviewed

This study addresses the issue of interactional dominance in Teletandem conversations, in which two speakers communicate via video calls and chat and alternatively use their L2, the latter being the native language of the interlocutor. In this paper we propose a methodology to assess the syntax complexity of a sentence representing it as sequence of parts-of-speech and comparing Recurrent Neural Networks and Support Vector Machine. In recent years, we have assisted with an impressive advance in augmented reality systems and computer vision algorithms, based on image processing and artificial intelligence. Thanks to these technologies, mainstream smartphones are able to estimate their own motion in 3D space with high accuracy. Artykuł przedstawia wyniki pilotażowych badań eksploracyjnych, których celem było rozpoznanie różnic występujących pomiędzy udziałem trzech kultur w procesach uczenia się w obszarach hominizacji człowieka dorosłego. W związku z czym przedmiotem badań jest międzypokoleniowe uczenie się rozpatrywane w kontekście poszczególnych wymiarów egzystencji.
