This study explores, using intersectionality and quantitative analysis, several axes that help shape the identity of the characters in the fictional worlds from a corpus of approximately 500 Romanian novels published between 1844 and 1932. They are gender, ethnicity/nationality, and class/work. It also briefly analyzes the gender gap in the production of the novel and examines the dynamics between the gender of the authors and the gender of the main character(s) and the person of the narration, by using metadata compiled by our research team and complex searches in the digital corpus.
Lament for the loss of al-Andalus in two Zajal from Cútar

This article edits, translates, comments and examines several aspects related with two strophic poems in Andalusian Arabic dialect. They are written in a miscellaneous volume recently found in Cútar (Málaga). Their contents speak about the hard moments lived during the last times of Muslim political power in the Iberian Peninsula. Mention is made to the copyist and the possible author of the poems.

This article examines the presence of classical, humanist and neo-humanist works in the libraries of the Magnus Ducatus of Finland between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries. In this period, Sweden went from being a member of a Scandinavian union dominated by Denmark to an imperial power administering large areas of north-central Europe, only to be subsequently demoted to the role of a regional player increasingly tossed about by her neighbours, especially Russia. The Morisco Jesuit P. Ignacio de Las Casas collaborated in the translation of some of the lead books found in Granada at the end of the 16th century. At first he was a partisan of their authenticity, but he rapidly became convinced that they were false. There followed a fierce struggle to make the Church prevent their publication. In the article his activity as a translator of these texts is reviewed, together with the arguments, which he used in order to criticise the doctrine contained in the lead books. TTF- and exTTF-containing [(μ-S2)Fe2(CO)6] complexes have been prepared by the photochemical reaction of TTF or exTTF and [(μ-S2)Fe2(CO)6]. These complexes are able to interact with PAHs. In the absence of air and in acid media an electrocatalytic dihydrogen evolution reaction (HER) occurs, similarly to analogous [(μ-S2)Fe2(CO)6] complexes. However, in the presence of air, the TTF and exTTF organic moieties strongly influence the electrochemistry of these systems. The reported data may be valuable in the design of [FeFe] hydrogenase mimics able to combine the HER properties of the [FeFe] cores with the unique TTF properties
