Studies of the ideological underpinnings of retail stores have improved our understanding of consumers’ retail experiences in brand and national ideology contexts. In retailing, ideology is manifested in retail spatial settings through tangible and intangible cues in servicescapes. This study expands our knowledge on ethical retail ideology by exploring how servicescapes convey cues that shape consumption experiences and foster ethical consumption. Examining Consumers’ Usage Intention of Contactless Payment Systems

Purpose The purpose of this paper is to develop and test a conceptual model that combines the modified Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) with a consumer brand engagement (CBE) model to predict consumers’ usage intentions toward contactless payment systems in a developed country. Design/methodology/approach The authors cooperated with a contactless payment service provider in Finland and reached out to 22,000 customers, resulting in 1,165 usable responses. Sparing kidney tissue is important because studies show that patients who have their entire kidney removed are more likely to suffer from chronic kidney disease after surgery than patients who received a kidney-sparing partial nephrectomy. The aim of study is to show the effectives of Pringle maneuver for clamping renal pedicle in order to minimize warm ischemia during open partial nephrectomy. Material and method. The application has been evaluated using mathematical modeling to optimize the heat exchanger and some vital design parameters of the TEG. The calculation shows that it is possible to extract 58 kW el at a price of 6.6 US$/W from an 850-kW th incinerator when optimizing for maximum power. Effect of temperature on anaerobic treatment of black water in UASB-septic tank systems

The effect of northern European seasonal temperature changes and low temperature on the performance of upflow anaerobic sludge blanket (UASB)-septic tanks treating black water was studied. Three UASB-septic tanks were monitored with different operational parameters and at different temperatures. The results indicated the feasibility of the UASB-septic tank for (pre)treatment of black water at low temperatures with respect to removal of suspended solids and dissolved organic material. Inoculum sludge had little effect on COD(ss) removal, though in the start-up phase some poorly adapted inoculum disintegrated and washed out, thus requiring consideration when designing the process. Urban growth, jointed to technical networks, contributes to human pressure on water resources. In the meantime, the water French policy put management of urban development in accordance with catchments and hydrologic dynamics; that makes districts and intermunicipal groupings adopt new areas and action systems. The urban area of Dijon is located in three catchments and above a wide groundwater. This case shows urban water management gives greater place to precariousness and common character of water resources, even if institutional responses mainly concern town planning regulation.
