The aim of this article is to provide an analysis of the application by some European Union countries of alternative measures to detention of migrants. Sections 2 and 3 indicate, in line with European normatives and with detention being a measure of last resort, that Member States having ascertained that there are grounds for the detention of migrants, should evaluate whether the aims pursued can be achieved through a less coercive measure which respects the fundamental rights of individuals. BACKGROUND The aim of this study was to investigate the inter-observer variability of central corneal thickness measurements carried out with a non-contact specular microscope in patients who had undergone myopic laser in situ keratomileusis. METHODS Twenty-six eyes of 26 subjects who had undergone myopic laser in situ keratomileusis were studied with the Topcon SP-2000P non-contact specular microscope (Topcon Corp, Tokyo, Japan). The present study examined the written composition of children with ADHD, which depends to a large degree on continuous self-regulation and attentional control skills for organizing information and maintaining the level of effort.
