THE ADMINISTRATIVE JUSTICE IN SPAIN: CURRENT SITUATION AND CHALLENGES

2016

Since the Spanish Constitution of 1978 there has been a full and effective administrative justice. The citizens have the possibility to request a judicial review of decisions taken by the public Administrations, while being either the owners of a subjective right or of a legitimate interest. The interim judicial protection is not limited to the suppression of the act or general provision and the Courts are invested with direct powers to enforce their sentences. However, different problematic issues about the inactivity of the public Administrations and the enforcement of sentences are the new challenges to ensure the administrative justice. To this it must be added that there are problems r…

L'"ETERNO RITORNO": VACILLA L'AUTONOMA VALUTAZIONE IN SEDE CAUTELARE

2019

By law no. 47/2015, the legislator has stated that the assessment on conditions of applicability of precautionary measures has to be autonomous, also excluding a power of integration by the judicial review Tribunal. However, some judgments regarding cumulative judicial orders reveal a “return to the past”. This latter requires a clear position by the Supreme Court aimed at reaffirming constitutional values underlying the autonomous assessment

Analysis of data provided by Spanish official statistics on juvenile delinquency (Home Office annual reports, reports of the Office of the Prosecutor, statistics of the General Council of the Judiciary and exploitation of the Record of Sentences of Criminal Responsibility of Minors) in the period 2002-2016.

PID2021- 123441NB-I00 The official Spanish data show that the application of the Organic Law Regulating the Criminal Responsibility of Minors involves very different practice…

Lifestyle and Empowerment Techniques in Survivorship of Gynaecologic Oncology (LETSGO study): A study protocol for a multicentre longitudinal interve…

2021

IntroductionThe number of gynaecological cancer survivors is increasing and there is a need for a more sustainable model of follow-up care. Today’s follow-up model is time-consuming and patients have reported unmet needs regarding information about their cancer and strategies for managing the consequences of treatment. The main aim of this study is to assess health-related empowerment—in terms of patient education, psychosocial support, and promotion of physical activity—in a new follow-up model by comparing it to standard follow-up in a quasi-randomised study involving intervention hospitals and control hospitals. Methods and analysisAt the intervention hospitals, patients will be stratifie…

Some Investigations on Similarity Measures Based on Absent Words

2019

In this paper we investigate similarity measures based on minimal absent words, introduced by Chairungsee and Crochemore in [1]. They make use of a length-weighted index on a sample set corresponding to the symmetric difference M(x)ΔM(y) of the minimal absent words M(x) and M(y) of two sequences x and y, respectively. We first propose a variant of this measure by choosing as a sample set a proper subset (x, y) of M(x)ΔM(y), which appears to be more appropriate for distinguishing x and y. From the algebraic point of view, we prove that (x, y) is the base of the ideal generated by M(x)ΔM(y). We then remark that such measures are able to recognize whether the sequences x and y share a common s…

Sex Differences in the Physiological Network of Healthy Young Subjects

2021

Within human physiology, systemic interactions couple physiological variables to maintain homeostasis. These interactions change according to health status and are modified by factors such as age and sex. For several physiological processes, sex-based distinctions in normal physiology are present and defined in isolation. However, new methodologies are indispensable to analyze system-wide properties and interactions with the objective of exploring differences between sexes. Here we propose a new method to construct complex inferential networks from a normalization using the clinical criteria for health of physiological variables, and the correlations between anthropometric and blood tests b…

Parent–Infant Attachment Insecurity and Emotional Eating in Adolescence: Mediation through Emotion Suppression and Alexithymia

2021

Contains fulltext : 233652.pdf (Publisher’s version ) (Open Access) Emotional eating (EE), the propensity to eat in response to emotions, is thought to have its origins in the early parent-infant relationship. This study tested the hypothesis that infant attachment insecurity results in EE in adolescence through the increased use of the emotion regulation strategy suppression of emotions and subsequent alexithymia. At the age of 15 months, parent-infant attachment security (n = 129) was observed with two abbreviated attachment measures: the shortened strange situation procedure (SSSP), and the shortened attachment Q-set (S-AQS). At the age of 12 years, children completed self-report questio…

Convergence of Measures

2020

One focus of probability theory is distributions that are the result of an interplay of a large number of random impacts. Often a useful approximation can be obtained by taking a limit of such distributions, for example, a limit where the number of impacts goes to infinity. With the Poisson distribution, we have encountered such a limit distribution that occurs as the number of very rare events when the number of possibilities goes to infinity (see Theorem 3.7). In many cases, it is necessary to rescale the original distributions in order to capture the behavior of the essential fluctuations, e.g., in the central limit theorem. While these theorems work with real random variables, we will a…
