International audience; Objective evaluation of community detection algorithms is a strategic issue. Indeed, we need to verify that the communities identified are actually the good ones. Moreover, it is necessary to compare results between two distinct algorithms to determine which is most effective. Extending CSG with projections: Towards formally certified geometric modeling

We extend traditional Constructive Solid Geometry (CSG) trees to support the projection operator. Existing algorithms in the literature prove various topological properties of CSG sets. Our extension readily allows these algorithms to work on a greater variety of sets, in particular parametric sets, which are extensively used in CAD/CAM systems. Constructive Solid Geometry allows for algebraic representation which makes it easy for certification tools to apply. A geometric primitive may be defined in terms of a characteristic function, which can be seen as the zero-set of a corresponding system along with inequality constraints. Performance Measurement of Mobile Manipulators

International audience; This paper describes a concept for measuring the reproducible performance of mobile manipulators to be used for assembly or other similar tasks. An automatic guided vehicle with an onboard robot arm was programmed to repeatedly move to and stop at a novel, reconfigurable mobile manipulator artifact (RMMA), sense the RMMA, and detect targets on the RMMA. Automatic classification of tissues using T1 and T2 relaxation times from prostate MRI: a step toward generation of PET/MR attenuation map

This paper presents a new methodology providing the first step towards generating attenuation maps for PET/MR systems based solely on MR information. The new method segments and classifies the attenuation-differing regions of the patient's pelvis based on acquired T 1 - and T 2 -weighted MR data sets and anatomical-based knowledge by computing the tissue specific T 1 and T 2 relaxation times, using a robust implementation of the weighted fuzzy C-means algorithm and applying a novel process to detect bones. This paper presents an approach on distortion correction based on stereoscopic self calibration from images sequences by using a multi-camera system of vision (network cameras). Computational approach to compact Riemann surfaces

International audience; A purely numerical approach to compact Riemann surfaces starting from plane algebraic curves is presented. The critical points of the algebraic curve are computed via a two-dimensional Newton iteration. The starting values for this iteration are obtained from the resultants with respect to both coordinates of the algebraic curve and a suitable pairing of their zeros. A set of generators of the fundamental group for the complement of these critical points in the complex plane is constructed from circles around these points and connecting lines obtained from a minimal spanning tree. Naturally constrained reduced form and stuctural parameters estimation

To characterize such a situation, we introduce the concept of a "natural constraint", which is presented and discussed is section 1 of the present paper. Section 2 is concerned with the efficient estimation of the naturally constrained reduced form. From it, we derive efficient estimators of the structural parameters (by indirect GLS) and propose a simple test of the a priori restrictions. In section 3 we discuss estimation by 2SLS. 3D Geosynchronous Transfer of a Satellite: Continuation on the Thrust

The minimum-time transfer of a satellite from a low and eccentric initial orbit toward a high geostationary orbit is considered. This study is preliminary to the analysis of similar transfer cases with more complicated performance indexes (maximization of payload, for instance). The orbital inclination of the spacecraft is taken into account (3D model), and the thrust available is assumed to be very small (e.g. 0.3 Newton for an initial mass of 1500 kg).
