The most important student mobility (SM) flow in Italy is from the Southern to the Central-Northern regions, a phenomenon that has been magnified by an increasing number of outgoing students from Sicily over the last decade. In this paper, we rely upon micro-data of university enrollment and students' personal records for three cohorts of freshmen, in order to investigate preferential patterns of SM from Sicily toward universities in other regions. W prezentowanym tekście odnoszę się do szeregu moich badań związanych z migracją kobiet. Podejmując się analizy teoretycznej tych badań sięgam do teorii roli jako narzędzia do wyjaśnienia zjawisk. Modyfikuję ją poprzez dodanie innych, pozaludzkich (non-humans) partnerów roli, wobec których rola migrantki jest konstruowana i odgrywana. W efekcie tego przekształcenia teoretycznego ustalam, że istnieje większa liczba partnerów roli, co jest ruchem symetrycznym wobec tego, jaki wykonał Bruno Latour. The aim of the project was to research the social functioning of labour migrants in the culture of the host country. We were interested in showing the relationship between the time-frame of migration and the dimensions of socio-cultural adaptation. The study was conducted on a N=105 sample of Poles working abroad. A link to an online questionnaire was sent to those who had worked abroad during the study. The subjects were Poles who migrated to various countries in Western Europe.
