Se analiza parte de un conjunto de textos, -integrado por cuatro mil novecientas ochenta carillas manuscritas correspondientes a mil trescientos treinta y tres egodocumentos-, cuyo protagonista es uno de los fundadores de las JONS valencianas, amén de otros documentos personales: carnés, fotografías, etc. Aproximadamente el 59% de dichos documentos están fechados entre 1884 y 1939, y el resto entre 1940 y 1955. Updating the Proposal of “Just Communities” for Democratic Civil Education

Abstract: This article examines Kohlberg’s proposal of the “just community” from a current perspective in line with a post-conventional morality grounded on the democratization of schools. A type of teacher training is proposed that uses up-to-date methods to approach just communities. By taking the critical interpretation of the model of moral development, the article also concludes that schools today have integrated some of the cutting-edge advances to the just communities’ program, and that this approach reciprocally calls for updating the idea of moral education by incorporating a broader view of morality. This paper examines Adam Smith’s vision of family life and the role of the family in society as it stems from the Theory of Moral Sentiments. We first discuss textual evidences of Smith’s vision of gender differences and of the relationships between the sexes. The paper aims at highlighting the hypothesis of "someone's generation to the good life", or the hypothesis of the teachability of virtue, starting from its Platonic and, above all, Aristotelian root and exploring its recovery in the phenomenology of the early twentieth century.

Abstract Since Carol Gilligan (1982) presented her conception of “two morals”, several empirical studies have been carried out to verify her assumption that the moral reasoning of men and women generally follows different principles. These research findings led to an examination of gender-specific traits in a sample of insurance apprentices. The data suggest that Gilligan’s assumption cannot be upheld although the detailed analysis of moral reasoning and the conditions of its development seem to be gender-biased.
