Moral panic, moral regulation and essentialization of identities: Discursive struggle over unethical business practices in the Finnish national media

The study sheds light on the language of moral panic and moral regulation in the Finnish news media over a 9-year period on the subject of cartels and cartel agreements. What makes the case particularly interesting is that the object of the most explicit moral panic was the introduction of new laws (leniency programmes) designed to regulate illegal cartel behaviour. The main argument is that the construction of both moral regulation and moral panic in news media takes place through essentializing discursive claims that contribute to national identity construction. Phytochemical profile and insecticidal activity of Drimia pancration (Asparagaceae) against adults of Stegobium paniceum (Anobiidae)

Chemical and spectroscopic investigation of the bulbs of Drimia pancration resulted in the isolation of one known flavonol (1), never isolated from this plant species, and of three previously described steroidal saponins (2–4), but whose configuration at their stereogenic centres was not clearly determined. By mean of 1H NMR, 13C NMR, nuclear overhauser effects (NOE) and two-dimensional NMR spectra the full stereochemical structures of compounds 2–4 were proved and all the 1H and 13C signals were assigned. Artykuł prezentuje wyniki analizy telewizyjnego orędzia prezydenta Francji Emmanuela Macrona z dnia 16 marca 2020 roku. Stanowi ono przyczynek do wskazania na znaczenie we współczesnym dyskursie politycznym odwoływania się do logiki strachu i poczucia zagrożenia. The red algae Chondrophycus patentirameus (Montagne) Nam (‘patentiramea’) and L. paniculata (C. Agardh) J. Agardh were investigated on the basis of type material and recent collections. La Dissertazione sopra la Tavola Annonaria è un saggio nel quale lo scienziato Luigi Ferdinando Marsili (1658-1730) descrisse un rilievo di età romana di sua proprietà, raffigurante scene relative alla produzione del pane. Si tratta di un testo che non era ancora stato esaminato a fondo nella sua interezza. Attraverso un’analisi serrata, ricca di rimandi alle testimonianze letterarie e di confronti con altre opere di scultura romane, Marsili dimostra il suo interesse per il mondo antico e il metodo rigoroso che applicava nei suoi studi.
