Darbā ir pētīts potenciāls ES institūcijām izmantot sociālos medijus komunikācijā ar iedzīvotājiem. Tai skaitā, lai veidotu iedzīvotāju, un jo īpaši jauniešu, Eiropas pilsonības izpratni. Teorētiskajā daļā apkopotajos materiālos Eiropas pilsonība ir analizēta no trīs aspektiem: piederības, tiesībām un līdzdalības. Maģistra darbā ir apkopoti pastāvošie uzskati par sociālo mediju izmantošanu institūciju saziņā ar iedzīvotājiem un pamatojums šādas saziņas nepieciešamībai. Abstract The performance of a membrane bioreactor (MBR), and mechanisms of fouling formation, may differ due to the start-up. Therefore, the start-up can constitute an aspect that critically influences MBR performance during its lifespan. Indeed, the start-up can influence the mechanisms of membrane fouling, which is of paramount importance in an MBR. In order to gain insights on the effects of the start-up, both experimental and mathematical modelling studies were carried out on an MBR pilot plant. Operational efficiency of a pilot plant for wastewater reuse

Reuse of wastewaters for non-potable uses needs a higher than normal reliability in treatment plant operation and management, in order to ensure higher safety margins for public health and environmental protection. After a two-years research project on a pilot plant designed for agricoltural reuse, all control parameters used for the plant operation have been examined, in order to obtain useful observations on efficiency of each of the treatment units, for best overall performance. A fuzzy-logic-based controller for methane production in anaerobic fixed-film reactors

The main objective of this work was to develop a controller for biogas production in continuous anaerobic fixed-bed reactors, which used effluent total volatile fatty acids (VFA) concentration as control input in order to prevent process acidification at closed loop. To this aim, a fuzzy-logic-based control system was developed, tuned and validated in an anaerobic fixed-bed reactor at pilot scale that treated industrial winery wastewater. The proposed controller varied the flow rate of wastewater entering the system as a function of the gaseous outflow rate of methane and VFA concentration. Anchovy (Engraulis Encrasicholus) and sardine (Sardina Pilchardus) are blue fishes linked to our alimentary tradition of Mediterranean. In our work, particularly, we tested for the first time physical and enzymatic methods to verify the freshness of species of blue fish, anchovy and sardine of Mediterranean. In connection with to the lowering of the pH after post-mortem stage we assisted to a increase in proteolytic activity of calpaine and catpsine. Already after 2 h in post- mortem there was a considerable increase.
