Background. Balance is among the most important prerequisites for safe and independent mobility. Whether musculoskeletal pain is related to standing balance impairment has received limited attention. The aim of this study was to examine the association of musculoskeletal pain with the control of balance in older people. Methods. A total of 605 participants aged 75 years and older (mean age 80.4, 71 % women) were interviewed about presence and severity of musculoskeletal pain. Cross-platform app development is very challenging, although only two platforms with significant market share (iOS and Android) remain. While device fragmentation – multiple, only partly compatible versions of a platform – has been complicating matters already, the need to target different device classes is a new emergence. The area of the western Jura Mountains constitutes the former Jura-Burgundy threshold between the Tethys Ocean and the epicontinental Paris Basin Sea. During the Barremian, the area was covered by a shallow-water Urgonian carbonate platform. Tectonic processes influenced the architecture of the Urgonian platform and were notably responsible for the formation of fault-related depressions on top of the Urgonian series, which were subsequently transformed into incised valleys and then to marine depocenters. We aimed to assess the role of deleterious BARD1 germline variants in BC/OC predisposition in a sample of 4920 BRCA1/2-negative female BC/OC index patients of the German Consortium for Hereditary Breast and Ovarian Cancer (GC-HBOC). Diversification and performance in the mobile app market: The role of the platform ecosystem

Abstract We examine the effect of app developers' product line diversification decision on their performance and shed light on whether the type of platform ecosystem (open versus closed) where they commercialize apps influences this effect. We compare the revenue performance of diversified and specialized developers in Apple's App Store and Google Play. We show that in the Apple's App Store (closed platform) diversified developers always display lower performance than their specialized counterparts. Dokumentā tiek veikti pētījumi par datortīklu un datorsistēmu mācību platformas ReSeLa pārveidi, kas iekļauj izpēti par populāru tiešsaistes mācību platformu iezīmēm un veicamo uzlabojumu tehnoloģiskajiem risinājumiem. Balstoties uz veiktajiem pētījumiem, tiek veikta sākotnējā jaunās platformas izstrāde, un dokumentā aprakstīta tās struktūra, API, izvēlētie risinājumi, trūkumi un nepieciešamie uzlabojumi, kā arī tiek aprakstīta un uzstādīta testa vide tās galvenajai ārējai saskarnei – OpenStack.
